Only problem is that in 10-15 years, they'll be coming out next quarter still.

Stainless is a great idea in theory. In practice you get a 2mm dent in a A pillar or hood and you can’t exactly bondo it and paint over it. The panel is garbage. Insurance will be a small fortune. Delorian owners discovered this the hard way.

I’m genuinely curious how the Cult of Elon is going to spin this.

Another brilliant move by Elon! Running a preprogrammed route is a kind of self-driving!

“Do you go to the office with that backpack?”

ICE-powered UVs* replaced by electrically-powered UVs: nothing basically changes—still big fat station wagons hogging the road.

Except minivans have a smaller cross-section / frontal area than most SUVs. And they are lower to the ground. Air rushing under the vehicle is one of the biggest contributors to poor aero, so you want minimal ground clearance while still being practical.

I think that’s incredibly naïve at best, and disingenuous at worst.

“If you live in a big city, five years ago if you drop off your kids with a big SUV you’re a man,” he said. “Now, if you do this, you’re a ‘terrorist’”

I PREFER the short wheelbase, but my crotch goblins REQUIRE the long. 🤷‍♂️

Yes, we’re underinvested in infrastructure. But this notion makes no sense.

Lexus says what?

Lol wtf is this real

Someone is going to shoot some weird Elvis porn in that interior. This is an absolute certainty.

Convert it to an airbnb

“The first is that all Korean models suffer extreme depreciation.”

Jesus fucking christ.

Yes, as many of you have pointed out: The headline initially said “$2 a day” when it should have said “$2 an hour.” That was my mistake, and I’ve fixed it. Thank you to the comment section for alerting us to this error!

The driver told police that he had been using Tesla’s new “Full Self-Driving,” and if interested, you can view the redacted accident report here:

The Tesla cut into the left lane and braked suddenly. So while according to the letter of the law, the people rear-ending it were at fault, but realistically the Tesla caused the accident. This is at the entrance to the tunnel, so drivers have to adjust their eyes. Even a safe driver might not be able to stop in time.
