I remember article in here (root or jezebel) one police who do “combat roll” maneuver to subdue a 14 years old girl who just been enjoying a weekend in her house front yard.

Obviously not, but send him a fucking ticket for running the light. Which is the normal thing that happens when you run a red light.
Next time you get a moving violation, will you expect the police to pit-maneuver you?
I’m by no means an expert in this, but locking up would produce zero regenerative energy (all your kinetic energy would be turned into friction/heat at the tire), so I’ll call bullshit.
If historical GM decision making is any guide, we can assume that shared car rental services like this will be a massive business within the next couple years.
I drove a stick for the first 16 years I was licensed, before getting the current A3 2.0t with a DSG transmission. As far as a daily driver in a city goes, I do not miss the stick shift at all, to be honest. The only time I do is the rare handful of times per year I’m out in the mountains and can’t perfectly rev match…
The N DCT comes with video game-like features that enhance driving fun. N Grin Shift (NGS) increases torque by 7 percent from 36.0 to 38.5kgf-m by allowing turbocharger overboost and maximizes transmission response for 20 seconds – performance that is certain to induce “driver grin”.
I don’t get all the hate on automatics here. I understand the argument if it was like 20 years ago, but technology has advanced and automatics are better in almost every way IMO. You lose the mechanical factor of shifting, but that’s a tradeoff I’ll take almost every day.
Sounds like a good way to have no one buy your car. What looks good, and what sells are not the same thing.
OR we could stop requiring the USPS to pre-fund pensions and make operational changes without having to consult with Congress, and the entire thing would be cleared up in a matter of months.
The UK and ze Germans privatized their postal services. But they both operate profitably because they own banks as well. The USPS has been specifically forbidden from offering financial services. So funny that Walmart and State Farm can own banks but no, not the post office. How could they possibly provide localized…
I know Free Shipping is kind of an internet entitlement these days, but Amazon will voluntarily lose money on this shipment to keep you as a customer. I’m not sure the USPS can afford to do the same.
Also because “friends” of the GOP look at that 48% of all mail delivered worldwide and see $$$ signs. We will all probably still be able to vote by “next-day delivery” via FedEX or UPS, for only $20. Effectively a poll tax.
Can we not save it by funding it properly instead? If we can waste billions on the F35 program for the military and also the marines, then surely we can fund something that actually improves lives?
I was waiting for the right wing talking points to make their way here. The USPS does NOT lose money because it allows Jeff Bezos and Amazon to “just drop packages on the floor” and say “deliver it.” The USPS actually breaks even or makes a tiny profit on operations every year. The ONLY reason that they need a bailout…
Why do you hate the Constitution?
“This is a required service for our democracy”
Technically it doesn’t operate it, it just ties its hands in order to make sure it can’t profit.
Came here to say this. It’s been a decades long campaign to bankrupt the postal service. Now that voting by mail is becoming more of a necessity, the USPS demise must happen as soon as possible. Screw you states that only vote by mail!
President Trump threatened to veto the next $2 trillion coronavirus aid package if it includes funds to save the storied institution. (Because honestly, why would you include funds to save the employer of more than 2 million Americans in a U.S. stimulus package?)
