“I am not a racist.”™
If anyone is discouraged about a Dem coming just shy of 50% in a red district with the nearest Republican challenger barely breaking 20%, then they need to re-evaluate their lives.
I just don’t fathom, in the slightest, any concern for convicted felons on death row. Take them out back and shoot them in the fucking head, that’s what, the cost of a bullet? They should be treated worse than rabid dogs.
Okay, so I used to feel the way that you feel. But here’s the thing, occasionally, someone on death row will get exonerated. Maybe by DNA. Maybe by a new understanding of the crime. Maybe by generally new evidence. And let’s face it, people with money who murder face an advantage here. They don’t get the death…
All hail Crow, Godking of this dimension and the next, bringer of all things good, and banisher of terrible films!
The perturbing part is the cold callousness that underpins a decision made because their lethal drug was about to expire, like a fucking carton of milk.
It’s called being pro-life, apparently...
Because the executioners and their mob of sadists wouldn’t want to end up using a drug that would likely give the prisoner feelings of peace as they breathe their final breath. They might even die with a smile on their face which would not be satisfactory. It isn’t just about killing, it’s about suffering and revenge.
I consider myself a jaded pessimist, but for some bizarre reason I find the two of them charming, and am not even bothered by their hardware commercials.
Battle of the Beckies!
She’s not allowed to change her mind as she continues to mature?
Purity tests are a waste of time. Average civilians get to have opinions evolve over time , but why are celebrities always castigated for things they said years ago? Makes no sense (as long as it isn’t something crazy like what Mel Gibson or Michael Richards said). Come on. Get a grip here.
I’d say she was being hypocritical if she had said that, like, yesterday.
I agree with you often but come on. The guy got shot jumping into a fray to bring down an active shooter. Having never been in that situation, I can’t say for sure, but I really don’t think I would be all that articulate for a while.
That’s what I thought when I read it. Seriously:
They want to give the local KKK chapter a chance to harass any witnesses so they can recant before they have to say it under oath.
How unfair to set bond at $2 million. Clearly, this guy already has enough economic anxiety.
How the fuck can they say they don’t have enough info to officially call it a hate crime? He yelled get out of my country and shot two people he believed were middle eastern. Sounds like a pretty open and shut case of hate crime and terrorism to me.
