After the mixed (at best) reactions to Reloaded and Revolutions, I really don’t see how a nearly-2-decades later followup is going to improve anything.
Buzzy Cohen was my personal pick. And talk about a name meant to host a game show.
Exactly. Jennings might not be the most dynamic person, but he is witty, he did just fine during his stint, and he would bring a sense of continuity to the transition instead of an abrupt change. Plus, considering he was the first to host after Trebek’s passing, I think he intentionally kept his personality in check…
Actually it wouldn’t.
That’s fine if that what it means to you.
Now to the part where she shills for snake oil “brain supplements.”
She’s a slut-shamer and she spreads pseudoscience. There should be no place for her on Jeopardy.
she ended up putting out a statement last year claiming that she is not, and has never been, an anti-vaxxer
Chemtrails could have been Lana’s 2nd greatest album and it still would have been considered a let-down after NFR, which was universally praised & immediately recognized as an all-time classic that cemented her Rock HOF bonafides.
Chemtrails is acknowledged as an album of leftovers. Comparing it to more intentional albums is a false premise in the context of an article like this. Of course NFR’s b-sides are going to be worse than NFR.
This article is forgetting that Antonoff also produced large parts of the wildly acclaimed predecessors to Solar Power and COTCC, Melodrama and Norman Fucking Rockwell. I’m not saying he’s perfect or that I’m a huge fan, but clearly there’s a reason why these artists want to work with him, and the idea that he’s some…
You know who doesn’t have allegations of sexual harassment and workplace discrimination?
Holy fuck, am I living in a world where Miyam Bialik isn’t the host of Jeopardy because she turned it down and not because she was fucking insufferable after day three?
I am glad that Mike Richards stepped down, but come on... it shouldn’t have lead to this. Sony and everyone involved stumbled so fucking badly with this, they should have known about the history and baggages that come with him. They should have seen the backlash coming and that he didn’t fares as well as other guest…
I think it should be Archibald Leach, Bernard Schwartz, or Lucille LeSueur.
Nice. Once the press and the ADL got involved, I figured it was only a matter of time. Good work, everybody.
If only Trebek had suggested someone to succeed him...OH WAIT HE DID, AND THE PRODUCERS HAVEN’T EVEN CONSIDERED HER.
Debra Winger might consider hosting Jeopardy! as long as Madonna is not around to turn it into an ‘Elvis Gameshow’.
Richards doing himself in with his own podcast is the modern-day equivalent of Nixon recording all of his conversations. Silly powerful white man, you could have gotten away with it all! You fool!
