I've heard of those other games, I own Dead of Winter, it's very solid game. The main problem I have is with commitment. I send out an invite, get back a few yesses, a few maybes. So then I don't know whether to plan for 4 people or 8 people. My generation is a bunch of noncommittal douchebags sometimes.

That's basically the only reason I want to have kids: So I have an automatic group of (forced) gaming buddies.

Seriously, does this bro even lift? Skim milk is croosh to getting that lean protein I need!

Thanks for the info. Yea, the image is absolutely incredible for just a $20 antenna, so it seemed to good to be true, but cool to hear it is actually HD after all.

Is board gaming considered pop culture? I want to do more of it. We do Catan or something like that once a month, but I'd like to dig into some longer/heavier games if possible.

Same thing happened with my wife before we were married. Cable guy was a real creep, and suggested he was giving her free channels and implied he "expected" something as a token of thanks. Like, fuck these guys.

Not cable channels, just basic broadcast in HD. CBS, ABC, NBC, WB, FOX and a few other randoms. But that's a lot of decent TV, plus 90% of live sports in HD.

Agreed. We do antenna and Netflix. Get all the basic broadcast networks in incredible resolution (is it true HD? Not sure, but damn it looks great).

I was always more confused about scale. Like, a mouse can take on a cat? Or a fox? How exactly?

That's the ultimate contradiction: the more experienced and qualified you are, the more "establishment" that makes you, and therefore makes you "harder" to elect. It's fucking weird when you think about it.

Lolz I read first and last graf. I confess.

Yea that was some of the weirdest shit in the series. At that point though, I'm sure her editor was like "you're making me boatloads of money, fuck it, write whatever you want".

As Stephen King put it, the difference is Stephanie Meyer "can't write worth a damn."

Extremely violent, which is why we loved them so much as kids. It was like a hidden secret: a book about furry talking critters HAS to be wholesome, right? And in a lot of ways, it was. Truth, justice, honor, loyalty were always pretty black and white. Those who got spears shoved through them usually deserved it.

Makes sense. Honestly, I was kinda jealous about how many potentials the GOP had, even if all of them sucked hard. And you can't deny the diversity. I would've liked a Kasich-Rubio ticket. Too bad the shittiest person won the nomination. Even worse that Hillary didn't learn the right lessons from the GOP field about

But wasn't this largely a result of mid-term losses in 2010 and 2014? That cleared out a lot of potentials. To be honest, Pelosi, Reid, and Hoyer (ages 76, 77, and 77 respectively) should have stepped aside long ago for younger candidates to take leadership roles, especially from midwest swing states. Cynical, I know,

He was still wrong. He was acting like a carnie huckster almost the entire election cycle, hedging his bets here and there so he could never be "wrong".

Bingo. This election cycle has proven nobody fucking knows anything. Not "expert" pundits. Not the media. Not Nate fucking Silver. Maybe Bernie would have won. Maybe not. Who knows. Anyone who says otherwise with authority is full of shit.

The major issue with Settlers of Catan is managing your own resources while preventing others from getting ahead. It's a very delicate balance. I find it stay pretty close up until the very end, which makes it such a good game.
