This was definitely the biggest misstep of the film, and it had no impact on the rest of the story whatsoever. I can't stand when sci-fi movies fall back on "We don't know what the aliens want, blow them up!" cliche. It was way out of place here…remove that entire thread and the movie is improved I think.

I'm praying for a scar-faced Hayden Christensen cameo.

Agreed, looks great from a character perspective, but I prefer they keep the details of the Death Star at a very high level…the more you think about it the less sense it makes. But yea, here's hoping too.

Yea, wow is that photo a throwback.

Speaking of lineage, not unlike the original Deus Ex…

Reading Ian McEwan's "Nutshell" which (this isn't a spoiler) is a murder mystery thing told from the perspective of a fetus in its mother. I wonder if he wasn't inspired by Stewie Griffin or something, because at some points the baby is incredibly philosophical and articulate, but then some things he doesn't

Yea, Wizard and Glass was my favorite. Wolves of Calla was okay, but from there on it was a drag.

Keep it Simmple, stupid.

Well, my Stillers lost to those Cowboys, in what was actually a damn entertaining game, maybe the best of the year. But wow, Dak Prescott (secondary Star Wars character) is the real deal. And Ezekiel Elliot is an absolute beast. Cowboys are gonna be tough to beat in the NFC.

Arrival was really, really fucking good. Man, the visuals were incredible. Amy Adams was fantastic. I want to share a quick *spoiler* story though. And maybe this was discussed in the spoiler section.

I think that's cause Tiny Fey plays the underdog role WAY better than someone like Anna Kendrick. Just me opinion though.

Marry me!

I thought this was an SNL sketch at first.

But I DID see what Kendall Jenner wore to Black Tyga's party last Friday! So glad I have trending news!

It's hardcore red around the metro area. Basically everyone outside the city hunts. Everyone. It's bizarre to me, but hey, different strokes I guess. I live right outside the city in a purplish zone, so it's interesting seeing the diversity of opinions.

Well written, thank you Teti.

"outside of Pittsburgh" = all hunters. That's a venn diagram too.

It's such dissonance - Jabba's chamber is a dark, nasty, awful place. Jedi Rocks is like an upbeat popsong (keep in mind the song ends with a prostitute getting eaten by a monster. This is not a fun place).

I mean, fuck, flipping Michigan and Pennsylvania? These have been solid blue for almost three decades. I was/am solildly #nevertrump, but I'm sorry, this was Hillary's to lose and she fucking lost it.
