Oh man, retail music is the wooooorst. Especially when you're two or three cycles in, you begin to lose it.
God bless Valve for Half-Life and Half-Life 2. With all the hype and excitement going into the sequel, I was sure it would let me down, but it was one of the very rare instances I my hyped up expectations were blown away. It was everything I dreamed about (and I really did dream about it) and more.
Yea, you can negotiate down anything almost anywhere. Home Depot, Value City, Lowes…anything over $100 is basically negotiable one way or another.
I just turned 30. Everyone I know has kids. And many of the moms sell some sort of pyramid scheme bullshit (I get Facebook invites constantly). It's some sort of need to find independence and purpose after their douchebag husbands knock them up and leave them at home all day with brats.
Totally agree. "He was reaching" is often just code for "he was black and scared me!" …I know it's a scary, stressful job, but like you said, if you don't have the guts and courage to de-escalate a situation, its not the right job for you.
I'm pretty sure there's a database with police shootings in it by race. If you bump that up against race distribution in the USA, they do indeed shoot black people more often. Not a HUGE difference but it's there. I did the math, I swear, I just can't find the site again (I guess to your point).
There's a good video on YouTube called "Never Talk to Police" (just watch part one) but yea, people don't realize NOTHING you say can help you, and anything you say can AND WILL be used AGAINST you.
Sure, a robbery is traumatizing, but she's in the .0001%. I bet every single person here would trade places with her in a heartbeat. I mean, I feel bad, but not THAT bad.
Kinda, I thought the production values looked decent. I can see it being wonky Lost-ish. Disappointing it's not better.
The "team leader gets bonuses" feels sketchyand pyramidy to me, but you're right, it's such a disposable product with INSANE margins (probably cost pennies to produce and sells for $13 a sheet or something) so it makes a little more sense, but still, beyond guilting friends and family, it's not really "running your…
Yea, once you max out your regular social circle, I can't see much more revenue coming in unless you REALLY commit hard. And in that case, you may be better off just getting a normal part time job.
How do people feel Jamberry, Pampered Chef, Passion Parties, etc that prey on mostly stay at home moms via "parties"? I hate feeling guilted by a friend into buying shit, so I always decline, but what do you all think?
"Unbelievable" is way overused too. "OMG UNBELIEVABLE ONE HANDED CATCH!" happens, like, once a week. Pretty believable.
I've just started watching the games on mute. It drives me wife crazy, but Simms is just so, so terrible. I'm done with it.
Question:
Exactly, but I think most people are like "Oh yea, he makes a good point!"
Yea, bartender tips are tricky. I may bump it down to 10%. They give me a beer/draft and ignore me until I wave my hands in front of them or but into a flirt session. Not sure that requires 20% tip.
Most of the time, slow service is from the kitchen, not the wait staff. I'm not going to be a jerk because the cook called off. There's a ton of dickish "I'm a hotshot in a suit, my lunch is important, you're too slow" attitude downtown, but other than that, there's really no reason to rush service. Eating slowly is…
I've always believed how one treats service employees is a key sign of their character. The works sucks, there's zero reason to be a dick to the help.
