Agreed, the tone of these interviews is like "WILL IT HAVE EVERYTHING I WANT??" I mean, he's not going to say anything that will make someone NOT buy the game, so he'll spin it as positively as he can and hope he can finish the content. It was a tough situation, and I really sympathize with the creators.

The Temple of the Dog reunion tour went just like that. They sold out in seconds online. Literally, I clicked "Best Available" at 12:00:01 and they were already sold out.

Same bullshit with Fandango. They charge a convenience fee. I got a Fandango gift card, which you can ONLY redeem online, and got hit with with $3 in fees.

The music is some of the best ever. The nightclubs each had their own track…each hub area had its own take on the main theme (Paris's deep organ is quite memorable). It never got old.

This is a good point, and I too was struck by the demand/outrage for multiplayer. I mean, I guess it could be fun to do it with a friend, but I feel like the solitary, lonely exploration was kind of the entire thesis of the game.

Do you like Out There or FTL more? I've played a TON of FTL, was considering buying Out There but wasn't sure if it was different enough to justify it.

"I am not a machi-" BOOM!

I think it needs more random encounters. Hell, even FTL adds some random "scripted" events to the game. I just don't see any of that here, does anyone else?

No worries, I figured as much. The original is so fantastic, I'll even watch "Let's Play" videos just cause I like reliving so many of those moments (and the music of the original is sooooooooo good).

That's a perfect example. Pre-ordering is kinda dumb in general if you ask me. Wait til the game comes out, read a couple opinions, check out some footage, and decide whether it's what you want in a game.

The whole "No Man's Lie" meme and reddit rage is an interesting case study in marketing, development, and most importantly, management of expectations.

The burn is spot on…BUT…BUT in Elder Scrolls defense, there was so much to do, even if generic, that dozens of goals were available at any given time. Join a faction, hunt for deer, help a Jarl, etc.

Only game you've beaten more than once? Never played the original? Christ, I beat that game probably 20 times. I fucking love it.

Are the Duffer Brothers just a pseudonym for Stephen King?

Carmen Luvana had some glorious, glorious boobs.

Seriously! It's not even a side-by-side or similar photo. They're just random pictures.

Woah woah, let's not drag Big Ben into this.

We often rant against the choice and reasoning behind Hatesong.

That scene was sooo good, one of the funniest moments in a long time. When Russel Crowe points out the ankle holster you figure it's a setup for something later, and then when it hilariously subverts those expectations…just solid gold.
