I'm glad to hear this. I've had a few HTC phones and the main reason I never bought a HTC for my last phone was I didn't want to 'have' to crack it to flash another ROM just so it would be as fast as it could be.

They look real simple too. Just two handle and stretch about 10 wires between them. The do what looks like a twist by one of the handles and then bring them together to connect. You could probably knock this together in a spare 5-10 minutes in your home den or in shop class in school.
Another first world problem I guess... :-)
Exactly just what I was going to say. I've seen a lot of third party camera kits that have the screen in the mirror and a wide angle lens on the rear camera. Some are wide enough to let you see what's about to go past your ass at Mach 1 while you're backing out of that walmart spot. To some drivers with SUVs, those…
I honestly don't see why anyone would have a problem about this. It's a cool safety feature not to mention an aid for backing up. More cars are having these fitted to aid parking and if it stops someone backing over a kid because they can't see them in the mirrors then that's a good thing.
LOL - We really should start following you.
I know right? I was really hoping just this once that we had made this giant leap in physics and it made us all rethink our view of the universe. That this would be the start of us as a species think about how we one day will be able to explore the universe and because of that, we need to get our shit together down…
Dammit... I was really hoping that it wasn't an error and they had discovered something new.
I'm getting really sick and tired of all of these patent suits and governments trying to control and block the internet. We are finally in a place where technology is awesome and just getting better every day with what we can do and the way we can communicate with the whole world.... And the guys who want to make even…
It shouldn't be too difficult to figure out though. They should know the IMEI of all their stock. Minus the ones left in stock and the ones sold equals the ones that were stolen.
Is address bar search a feature of your ISP's DNS? I thought it was a browser feature where it sends it as a search string to whatever your default search engine is?
It's not worth their time and money to physically disconnect you. Plus if you or the next tenant decide to get cable, it's a case of here's your box, just plug it in. Almost all new builds in cable areas are now connected during construction. Way easier to run the cable and to connect you is just a case of scan the…
When I worked for Cox years ago, they were talking about the future of TV being on demand and anywhere. I think there will be TV stations that broadcast a schedule for the foreseeable future. But as the older generations die and the internet savvy are all that's left, streaming media will probably be main source of…
Let's be totally honest here. If the need is great, and it has a hole, it's fulfilled 100% of the requirement for 100% of the men. Unless you plan on taking it on a date and showing it to your friends, looks aren't going to enter into it.
Although I've got a fear of heights... And the thought of doing a parachute jump terrifies me... I've always wanted to do a high altitude jump. For some reason, the thought of being so high up that you can see the curve of the Earth and the blackness of space above you when you step out into nothing... doesn't scare…
I agree with you 100%. I think we need to start testing people who will do anything that can be a danger to others. Like as you said, voting. A lot of people will vote for the same party, regardless of their policies, because that's who they've always voted for, or they really just don't like the other guy. I'm not…
Oh dude, I wasn't trying to flame you. Sorry if it came off like that. I was just stating what most of us in IT feel. Having pirated software is too risky. I can't speak of personal systems at home though. But anything in work, or that gets taken to work, better be 100% squeaky clean just in case it gets audited.
Wait? They charge you to upgrade to another device on your account? As someone who used to work for AT&T and know the process involved to change a device on an account... they are charging you to do less than one minute's work to change the IMEI number. I worked in ANS (Advanced Network Support - Smart phones like…
I heard of a guy in Edinburgh, UK. who would trap squirrels and then spray them with a natural and harmless dye that was something like bright pink or orange, before letting them go again. I have no idea why he did it other than to make other people wonder if they really had just seen a bright pink squirrel run…
Everyone I know who works in IT buys their software. You get paid good money doing something you love. You're not going to risk that over using pirated software. Of course, most of us can also get a discount on the software by buying through our suppliers. But not worth losing your job over a cracked version of…
