yes, congratulations! As a UK resident I completely agree with everything you said. We are a small annoying pain in the ass of the world and the only things we still talk about being great in happened over 50 years ago. (WW2 and the soccer world cup) We are shit at everything we do these days but most people still

Same as you, a chipped car usually means keep away from it. But this looks ok and for $3K you can't really complain. I'd buy it and if it starts to become troublesome then sell it off to someone else. You'll always find a buyer for that kind of car if it looks ok.

That looks good. Hopefully it will have AWD and the fun you could have with it would be amazing. Just imagine throwing that thing around mountain roads. God I could spend a nice day doing that.

That's what I was trying to think of when I was thinking about using a minivan and put a big ass engine in it with a 4WD system. I still think it would be a good sleeper. Make it look like a soccer moms car but with something upwards of 7-800HP to mess with the big boys.

If nibbles works, this is kind of what I was meaning. I suck at anything to do with photoshop so i couldn't even begin to make something look good. But if this was lowered and had silver mesh and wider wheels it would look ok. I think so at least.

Oh yeah I didn't even think about torque-steer. I drove a Hyundai Tiburon once and when you accelerated the car was all over the road it was so uncontrollable. God knows what this thing would be like.

Glad I'm not the only one who always thought that was a dumb idea! The excuse that you don't need to change the transmission fluid? Bullshit! I'd like to change it after it's done 100K miles without having to drop the entire pan and get covered in that stuff. Sure I'd be removing the pan anyway to clean out any crap,

I want to see this thing running on the street. I always thought the 2007 Camry would look good if fixed up a bit. A decent mesh grill on the front with some slight mods like more cut outs filled with mesh. Lower it a little and slightly wider wheels. In a dark color I think it would look ok. You'd have to keep it

I was hoping to see that in the clip, but sadly, no. But assuming that it could actually handle the power for more than a few moments... just think of the fun you could have with that on the street.

I knew a guy who couldn't see color at all. The whole world to him was like a black and white TV. I always wanted to know how he ever found out he didn't see color. I mean unless you have a reference then you assume that everyone else saw the world like you did. But until I met him I never knew that kind of condition

I, er... I mean... er... OK, if the whole car was the same color as the front skirt then I think it would look ok. But the paint scheme just doesn't do anything for it. They should have went with an all over pearlescent purple and I think it could have carried it.

Yeah and a lot of people just don't get that. They forget that this is their version of how they want the car to look. Carmax for one, would spend money putting it back to as close to standard as possible.

Quote: "Don't even get me started on how fluctuating gas prices would impact what retail customers would pay for cars in a given month and what they wouldn't. Gas prices would go up 25 cents and the place would fill-up with people trying to ditch their expeditions and F250s, but what do you think people were willing

When I worked there 100K miles was the limit for cars they would sell due to the fact that the warranty they offered would only cover up to 100K miles. So anything that came in above 100K miles would be straight to auction. At one point about 80% of our stock was pickups and SUVs due to high gas prices and one of the

There were two deals I will always remember when I worked there and had someone wanting to sell their car.

You can definitely get more if you sell it privately. And we used to tell our customers that too. But what carmax did was offer to buy it without any strings. So that price was set for 7 days (at that time, not sure if it is still like that) regardless of what you did after you sold it.

LOL, yeah...

I USED to work for Carmax (no longer work for them or have any association with them in any way) and know for a fact that the trade in price offered is based on a few factors. Namely how much they could buy or sell a similar one for at auction. Or sell at one of their locations. What location you are at and the demand

Awesome story! I nominate for #COTD as it covers every persons thoughts when buying any used car.

There's a non wrecked one for sale on autotrader for $18k. And if you can spend $17.5K on an NSX then you could stretch to $20K and that would give you a choice of 3 on autotrader alone. I'm sure looking through other sites would get you a few more for less than $20K. So this is a crack pipe through and through.
