The liberal propaganda trope falls apart when a major non-Fox (or similar) news outlet produces something that would agree with their world-view. They don’t so much believe liberal propaganda as they don’t believe when the media reports things that go against their beliefs.

Here’s the response I got when trying to explain the video to people on Facebook: “I don’t need any of your ‘explanations.’ They hack babies to bits, then laugh about it over lunch.”

I love it when those people butt in because it gives me a chance to open up my “mean girls” persona (that served me well in middle school dammit).

I mean, duh.

I, for one, am proudly super liberal.

I’ve only had one person try and start a “discussion” about the video in my facebook world, and he’s honestly someone I would have expected it from. I’m just glad its the one and then one other crazy friend agreeing with him while a couple others are like “bro no ur wrong.”

Empathy is something that needs to be taught. Kids are not naturally empathetic. They have to learn other people are just as important as them. That other people’s lives are different. It does take awhile to develop but it can be developed.
