I can see this being a fun feature if there's an easy way to record yourself as you play the game. I mean, the console comes with a camera, so it would be a neat feature to be able to record yourself as you play - and it automatically syncs with the gameplay. Then they should implement an easy editing feature so that

I felt it was an ok presentation. I always feel like these things are super awkward, especially for Sony for some reason. Stiff people with stiff jokes and almost always underwhelming. However, with the info given about the new console I'm pretty excited about its release. If they really can work everything out like

Pessimistic much?

Most of that is not really true. It will play old games (through streaming), PSN purchases won't work-true, you don't have to be social at all, you can play your games without having your PS4 connected...

I'm not sure I'd blame your internet connection for that, but blame Ustream that had about 700,000 people watching the same feed.

The official specs released by Sony says it comes with a BR drive.

Surprise surprise. This combines pretty much three of the things right-wingers hate the most: Violent video games and stories that makes American historical figures look bad, and the French....

For people jumping to conclusions: It is most likely for PS1-PS3 games, and not for the actual PS4/Orbis games. Streaming PS3 games will be difficult enough to achieve without a glitch, imagine streaming something about 8 times the size.

I think it can be pretty cool. I just hope that they make the screen look more seamless as opposed to looking like there is actually a screen there if that makes sense. Would look much cooler if it just looks like the rest of the controller but then it can show pictures :)

The reason why you wouldn't be able to play PS3 games on your PS4 directly is because they would need to include a whole PS3 in your PS4 as they will have very different architecture from each other, which would raise the cost of the PS4 significantly. Using this service they can essentially use servers that have the

If they can make this work well then I feel like it's a very good compromise. It will be too expensive for Sony to pretty much include a whole PS3 in the PS4 (like when they included a full PS2 in the PS3 60gb), so unless you want to pay $600+ again for their next console this seems like the best solution. I assume

I know perfectly well how touchpads can be incredible, I'm typing this on a macbook on which I constantly use the touchpad... However, having the touchpad at that spot on the PS4 controller is not natural and I really think that it won't be of any benefit unless there is some mechanism to show what to press and when.

This gives me some ideas for role playing scenarios!

It's interesting how the guy involved isn't even mentioned anywhere. Is it really that unequal in Japan still?

I don't understand why people just can't be contempt with the console they bought and stop caring about what other people get... I've always been a Sony guy because I prefer their exclusives over any other company's exclusives... and that's pretty much the only reason. It's not like I'm going to start an argument with

They should put an E-ink touch screen on there in order to be able to display something directly on the controller. I don't really see the benefit of just having a touch pad without any type of screen.

It kind of makes me wonder a little bit. I wouldn't be surprised if something like this was either released with or as an early accessory to the NextBox/PS4. Imagine pairing these goggles with something like the PSMove, or even Kinect. It would literally be like being inside of the game, except for the navigating

I am fairly certain that the PS4 will have a new Uncharted as a launch game. Naughty Dog has confirmed that they are working on a new installation in the series and it wouldn't make sense to release it to the PS3 if the PS4 is just around the corner.

Snide "You're incredibly wrong and doesn't have the brain power to see it" reply.

So many bugs... Boston has disappeared from the map for me.
