Highly recommend the recent Mark Waid tpb that was just released, as well as the Morrison/Millar collection.

I would have been delighted to read Grant Morrison's take on Captain Marvel Jr, which would have apparently been paired with Mark Waid on Captain Marvel and Gail Simone on Mary Marvel.
Yeah, I've been very surprised by how much I'm enjoying JL vs SS, it's probably the best either of those teams have been since Throne of Atlantis/those couple of Ales Kot issues respectively
I dig it, though the first arc isn't great going. It gets a lot better once it drops the whole Godspeed thing and moves its focus over to Wally and Barry/Iris.
intellectual property, they're making a brand new series unrelated to Mass Effect or Dragon Age
Nothing on the horizon yet, their new IP will probably come next.
I can't shake the feeling that Horizon: Zero Dawn is going to be the big disappointment of this list, that's based on nothing at all but a gut instinct. On the other hand, if Detroit is anywhere near as boring as Beyond: Two Souls then I retract my statement.
So, what are our thoughts about this upcoming Batman/Flash crossover, "The Button" that'll kickstart this Watchmen storyline?
Whoever they hand Gene Yang's books to over there to review really seems to dislike him, or at least his writing on Superman comics, it's weird. I'm not saying you gotta like something in order to review it, but man, it's like there's some axe-grinding going on at times.
I recommend Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. Sci-fi noir that sort of reminded me of Inception.
It was okay, kinda bog standard origin stuff. The Atom one-shot was a bit stronger imo.
Aside from the Hellboy title itself, it's the best thing in the Mignolaverse by a mile. Unfortunately. its follow-up, Hell on Earth, only lives up to it in fits and spurts. But Plague of Frogs is mainstream comics as its best, for sure.
Tegan has been around a while, you've read her work here before. I highly recommend her blog for more great writing: http://whenwillthehurtingst…
I like how DC is handling this. The Flash, Green Arrow, and Supergirl all somewhat represent their tv counterparts, with familar elements (Dark Archer, Diggle, CatCo, Danvers as adoptive parents, CC Jitters!), but just use that as a jumping off point. I think it's the perfect solution to bring in those tv readers…
Still, I find it a more exciting read than recent other Batman runs. It feels kind of unpredictable in a way that Batman hasn't been since Morrison.
It'll be fine. DC is super into Gerard, and those books have sales floor (there's a dedicated audience that will buy them, no matter what).
I hope I like it more in the future, cause regardless of sales, I'm sure all these Young Animal titles are sticking around for a while until Gerard gets bored of the whole thing.
I like the art a lot in the post God of Thunder stuff, very vivid with good colors (Matt Wilson can never fail!)
Well, as luck would have it, Black Canary was cancelled a while back…so unless you mean Green Arrow or Birds of Prey, that's one less book you need ;-)
I got the whole Aaron Thor run in hardcover so I could finally catch up on it again. I've read the God of Thunder issues, but the constant relaunches caused me to jump off. Excited to try it again!
