Arrow is just very poor all around. Bad acting that can't support its grim dark tone, poorly scripted, and it looks a good deal cheaper than its counterpart in The Flash. Supergirl isn't perfect, or necessarily what I'd call a "good" show but Calista Flockhart is doing nice work, there's a little more of a budget

Agent Carter > The Flash >> Supergirl >>>>>>>>>>>> Arrow > Legends of Tomorrow, of what's currently on right now anyway.

I think this is definitely the best book Fletcher is on currently, I'll be interested to see what he's doing come Rebirth time. Batgirl won't get shaken up much I imagine, it's a big enough digital hit. But Black Canary is surely DOA.

It's honestly not all that hard to decipher, but you can kinda tell that past the first few issues he didn't know where to go or got bored with that Golden Age social justice Superman.

No, Action Comics. All Star was all silver age, all the time.

It went there for a bit, but then it started to lean more Silver Age with heavy 5th dimensional stuff. It was a mostly good run with iffy art.

There's surprisingly not that many set-pieces in all, and you've seen the two big ones in the trailer.

It's not great, but Reynolds certainly is. I just wish they had developed some actual characters to surround him with and not a bunch of walking quips. The structure is really odd too, with no particularly great connective tissue tying in the flashback bits to the present day stuff. I wanted to scream at the screen:

Virgil, his OGN through Image, got a lot of good press.

what site do you write for?

Crossing my fingers for Janin.

We may split there sir, as I found it such a slog. Especially right around the time of the Gorgon story.

I really admire how Graham has sorta formulated his own line within Image's publishing stratem. It's rare to see that sort of thing these days.

Isn't that what I said?

There's a trade coming this month.

It's fine…when there's so much other, better stuff coming from Image..getting Rucka doing his Rucka thing just doesn't do much for me. Also, I find Lark to be pretty dull as a storyteller.

I think they're all solid enough…I just haven't really gotten enough to judge thoroughly outside of a good concept inherent in each one.

I read three issues of Bitch Planet and it did not click for me whatsoever. There's also an element of house-style inherent in DeLandro's art and DeConnick's storytelling there that kinda turns me off, I feel the same way about books like Lazarus…they just start to feel like their Marvel work but with the serial

Other than Love and Rockets, as mentioned below, I dug into Midnighter and The Vision. Both great, though I expect the latter to come to a close soon when it's announced that Tom King is taking over Batman on a bi-weekly basis.

Of the two KSD comics at Image, this is easily the superior one. Rios can do no wrong in my eyes, except that awful Doctor Strange book she did with Greg Pak…but it looked rushed.
