Now that you mention Frank, I'm not crazy how the writers decided to show Claire's choice. They could have shown more of her inner struggle. I can't blame you for thinkin that way considering how it was portrayed and neither can I blame her. Jamie did earn her love (so to speak), saving her for a second time from Jack

    You sure love you fingers!

Give Jamie some time. He's still young and learning. I wasn't that crazy about him either at first, but i changed my mind while reading the books. As the stoery unfolds, you'll get to discover new things about him, that might surprise you and even change your opinion. We'll see…
Not just his pride. It takes more to

Not telling anything else. It would be a spoiler and it would be a shame to ruin it in case you decide to read the other books as well. And sorry for the late reply!

Entire storyline? Really? Not sure we've been watching the same show.

Not really. I usually avoid the internet until I've watched the show, which can be hard… I've read the books and it itches me to contradict some comments, but I do use warnings if I write something that hasn't been shown yet. Those who spoil shows are dicks.

SPOILERS! Read only if you have read the books!

I was curious if they would show that part, felt a bit sad they didn't, but at the same time, I just wanted her to get to Marcus' home as soon as possible. I'm blaming that on Jamie's tear. One tear.
It would have shown even more of Claire's strength and determination if they had put that part in as well, but oh, well…

I think that at some point, in the books, it does explain a bit why Jack is the way he is. But most of all, he's a sadistic bastard. I find that interesting enough because it shows how twisted a mind can be, without him havin suffered a trauma or something to make him the way he is. People want a reason for evil, but

I don't want to spoil it too much for you. All I'm saying is that you haven't read the last of her.

Ignore what was said about Gaeillis. think of the TV rule instead. They didn't show her die. The writers of the show might change how this character will influence the story. We don't know anything, even if we read the books. But yes, it was a shitty thing to leave out the spoiler warning.
