No, it doesn’t. Tony Allen famously can barely dribble (and got the nickname Trick or Treat Tony from Bill Simmons for his penchant for missing wide open layups), while Dray regularly runs fast-breaks, as well as often serving as the lead ball-handler. He shot 38% from 3 last year, and outside of his rookie year (when

> slightly better shooter than Tony Allen

Have you ever watched Draymond play? He’s at least a top 15 player, and is almost entirely unique.

Republicans will make noises about filibustering, and maybe even try one for a bit. Just long enough to satisfy their base before pissing off the moderates too much, then they’ll give in.

Because Deadspin exists to report and comment on sports news, which Tebow represents.

In a vacuum, this is true. But a FT should really just be a standstill version of a jumper, which no sane player shoots underhanded, so it shouldn’t require training new muscles.

FTs are the only shot you take in basketball that doesn’t involve jumping. It’s an entirely separate thing from a jump shot.

This is simply incorrect. FT percentage is actually commonly looked at by scouts when projecting potential shooting ability. Also, a 6'8" player absolutely needs to be able to shoot FTs. The only players who can get away with being horrendous at the line are the truly massive, game-changing defensive players.

There’s some conflicting evidence relating to hand size. Big men tend to shoot worse as their hand size increases, but when you look at the entire population of NBA players, the correlation vanishes. Kawhi Leonard, for example, has famously massive hands, yet is a competent FT shooter. The arc of the ball is also

I don’t disagree with the central thesis here: The job of a journalist or a reporter is to inform the public to the best of their ability, and oftentimes that means protecting a source in the interest of furthering a principle that sources can approach journalists anonymously without fear of being unmasked - which

I, for one, am on Grover’s side here. I’d love to have seen the shock on both candidates faces at getting a question about vaping, of all things, during one of 3 debates.

I don’t think this is criticism. Matt Ryan should absolutely not be trying to block Nick Fairley in a September game. But people falling down is always funny.

> a team that already was the youngest in the league, starting a 3rd string rookie QB and without 7 starters who outplayed Miami yesterday.

Not a doctor, but everything I have heard about the clots are that the biggest issue is that his blood thinners make it hard to fly. Could he just play home games? Or is the issue more severe than that?

So Kevin Johnson hasn’t even been booked for beating the shit out of this guy? Even if he successfully claims self-defense (which would be ridiculous, but ok), he’d still be booked. What the fuck is happening?

This is exactly the response. Even if you agree with him (or just his right to have the opinion), the logically consistent belief is that the Mariners also have the right to discipline him as they see fit, within the bounds of their contracted agreement. As a Mariner fan, I’m very happy with how they handled this.

Unfortunately, he’s who we traded Mark Trumbo for

Possibly (hopefully) related: Mariners decided to end his season today.

That’s all orthogonal to the judge’s ruling being correct though
