It’s SO good but I would read some of his poetry first. The book starts as fiction and dissolves (or explodes?) into poetry around the middle point and it might be disconcerting!

Man, reading Ocean Vuong’s work as a late 20 something devastated me, and I cannot imagine what I would have felt as a teen ! 

Yeah...I don’t think a show where there’s a lovable/quirky/oblivious but well-meaning white bff and a white love interest is going to say anything new or interesting unfortunately. Lovecraft country has not a single redeemed or “nice” white character and that, my friends, is actual progress.

aw I found this was a very charming film, perfect for a sunday afternoon. The colourblind casting for all roles, not just titular, was incredible, very refreshing. 

Hopefully it involved him making even the slightest effort to sound actually French or francophone when speaking the language

Very interesting explaination and very terrifying. I don’t think I’ve ever swum in a lake before, only seas/oceans and I’ve been told of their dangers enough to be careful, but I can’t imagine jumping into a body of water and being...stuck. 

His screaming match with fake!Tomi whatshername was amazing. His character is truly the MVP of Search Party season 3, his self delusion has even greater potential than Dory’s. Can’t wait for s4

I love this franchise. I re-watched it with a friend after we’d finished the Final Destination franchise. The First Purge is pretty good, makes a lot more sense than the others.
