I enjoyed it in regards to it being this sort of emotionally caustic cocktail. But the whole thing kind of feels like a fantasy show at this point, which is VERY much at odds with it's intent to tell real world truths about REAL instituions and REAL life events. Rather than talking about something more broad.

There is no possible avenue that this is to 'get Jimmy'. That doesn't make ANY logistical sense narratively or in terms of his character.

They're not poisoned. They're placebos. Useless sugar pills. (Actually to be more specific he made ibuprofen — an over the counter anti-inflammatory.)

"But his attempts to get better are not anywhere near sincere and trying to be better. I think it's to get Jimmy, it always has been."

Yes I absolutely agree. In large part, Chuck's behaviour was rooted in how his mental illness made him feel. (Crazy, outcast, ostracized) I mean his psychosis with Jimmy is primarily rooted in how Jimmy is beloved and Chuck feels like he's not.

Well, Chuck is healthier. That's a big, big difference.

Honestly, I thought him sticking it to those insurance adjusters was kind of gratifying. Especially that little bit of pride and joy he showed after the fact.

…I just realized that in Breaking Bad Saul is always lying on his back in his office with a back massage machine…

Was it Emilio or Crazy 8 who was the informant? I can't remember.

Yeah. I was totally struck by how sympathetic and human Chuck was in this episode. Particularly in regards to the preview for next week. When you take him out of the context of Jimmy, he's just so much more likable.

Really? I thought it established Howard's whole perspective on what's going on right now. It sort of more accutely showcased the viciousness of where their relationship is at. Howard blames Kim for publicly embarrassing Chuck (which will hurt HHM a lot). While Kim DOES feel responsible for what she did to Chuck, and I

It wouldn't have honestly made any sense. He'd need to go through law school from scratch and I'm not even sure that would work.

Yeah, that sucks for Jimmy. But that's not Chuck's fault. Chuck isn't obligated to support his brother's legal career just because Jimmy wants him to do and it would be good for him. I think he SHOULD, it's what a good brother would do, but he's not obligated to, and it's not an excuse for what Jimmy's response has

I just don't see how Chuck is at fault for Jimmy's misdeeds, though. Jimmy's a grown man. Not a child. And he had ample opportunities outside of Chuck (i.e. Davis and Maine) to prove himself worthy of the position he said he was worthy of and he failed.

Chuck didn't gaslight Jimmy. He didn't want him working at his law firm, which is totally his right: he's a named partner. He should have been a man about it and told it to Jimmy's face, but ultimately he didn't because he didn't want to discourage him and he didn't want it to effect their relationship. Because he

Everything that Jimmy was accused of in that court room was true.

I understand if you don't like it, but that was… kinda the point. Jimmy spinning his wheels and not really getting anywhere.

She never asked Jimmy to do anything for her. She might cut him some slack on the bills since she cares about him and he's having a hard time. But Jimmy is in this situation because of Jimmy, she doesn't owe him anything.

It's 2003. Breaking Bad is 2008-9 I think. So 5-6 years probably.
