I think you need the smart phone feature plan to keep it. Id ask but im pretty sure only people who have smartphones and that 30 buck unlimited plan can keep it.

Phone upgrades shouldnt matter. Its like my text plan I have 5.00 unlimited verizon mobile to mobil and 50 text messages. They dont offer it anymore but im still able to keep it and ive upgraded a few times. If you have the unlimited plan contract or no you get to keep the plan.

@Anrkist: As long as you pay 30 bucks for your plan you have unlimited. You should be fine as long as you dont cancel the plan.
