I hope it doesn't happen but with dual clutch transmissions now being more efficient and faster than the manual, the stickshift may completely go the way of the dodo.

Peter Wheeler himself thought so. He found the car impossible to drive on a road, and this is someone who had quite a racing experience himself and didn't think sports cars needed ABS or ESP. Now go figure.
