But still, FWD gives more space internally as you don't have to worry about a transmission tunnel or clearance for a rear diff. The Civic and Focus were designed FWD as for that purpose it was the best solution.

I couldn't agree more. If feedback can be replicated well enough, something we are starting to see, the ramifications to packaging are pretty exciting.
Nice idea but there are inherent packaging advantages with FWD in smaller cars especially. I can't imagine the Honda Civic or Ford Focus as RWD from the factory!
Sadly this was also my first thought although I hope we have a good few more years yet. Even then I think/hope a few speciality makes may still offer the option of a manual.
I'd say normally aspirated engines. It seems that even in higher power applications, turbo lag isn't the issue it was and emissions are greatly improved. On top of that turbochargers are a lot cheaper now turbodiesels are so common in much of the world. It's great in a way, mostly in horsepower per litre and torque…
Rode in the back of one recently and loved it. A true old school Citroen.
Agreed, its a bit more real feeling than most of the other side on crawler type games. The addition of gears, a winch, plus trucks and upgrades that are based on real ones is pretty cool. The only odd thing is that an RC car maker (Axial) has two trucks in game. Unfortunately no matter how many times I rub my phone…
$600? What a steal! Still, no doubt it's a lot easier to get Corvair parts than Tatra parts.
To be fair, once you've heard the German officer story, it's hard to forget. Besides, good on you for not thinking of the obvious candidates!
I've driven a high output but not Viggen 9-3 and can remember torque steer in third. The Viggen must have been a hand full, literally.
Czechoslovakia even, lol.
I had a Citroen GSA myself which had similar controls. I found that after about 10 minutes everything sort of clicked with everything apart from the radio. Putting it between the seats was just dumb IMO.
My first initial thought! I'd find this a real mission to drive for sure.
It has to be the Tatra T77. Rear engined with an air cooled V8 and swing axles, it had such a propensity for oversteer that it was nicknamed 'Czecoslovakia's secret weapon' in World War II. Why? Because of the amount of German officers who died behind the wheel.
Looks like good times to me. Why wouldn't you want to have some fun with V8s?
Citroen CX easily. Hydropneumatic suspension = world's comfiest ambulance plus 3 axles beat 4.
