I'm getting kind of sick of characters keeping vital information secret for no reason other than it'll make a 'cool twist' at the end of the 2nd act.

But the timing of that shot on the Germans precisely after she kills Ares seems more like the film was implying they had now been released from the curse of Ares despite that being the opposite of the narrative.

Some of the action was decent, but far too much of it was person-on-wires-in-front-of-green-screen type action… and slow-motion doesn't really improve that. I think that were this the first entry in its own continuity, it would have been far better. But, alas, it seemed to be slightly hobbled visually by the house…

Can't say I disagree with any of this review. The last 20 minutes were an especial bore, basically summarised by one character saying 'No! You are wrong!' and firing off a coloured lightning bolt at another character who replies with 'No! It is you who is wrong!' and countering with a different coloured lightning…
