Getting from New York to Europe in an hour or two isn't remotely difficult, so not really a story problem. But yes, it is always a little jarring when events you've seen progress over years cover only a week or two of in-show time.

I feel like saying a show has 'gone under the dumpster' should be a new phrase to describe TV shows that throw pointless and nonsensical cliffhangers at their audiences in a desperate attempt to seem interesting.

Plus…. that's how the writers plot the show. "Right, so midseason finale in December… who's gonna die?" – "Err, Austin Nichols just asked for a pay rise…" – "Excellent, Spencer's a dead man then… so… someone come up with a shocking way for him to die and we'll work back from that."

Yeah, but the writers have to make sure that things only happen when Rick does them… because reasons.

TWD is far, far more cynical than GoT. In TWD, fate deliberately targets anyone who shows even the most basic level of hope or empathy. While bad things happen to good people in GoT, you can usually trace a line from their own decision-making process to what happens later.

Direwolves or dragons… you only get to have one.

I wanna see the average on-screen word count for each human character who's killed in each show. I wonder if TWD would break double digits…?

Which should be a clue that the opposite is probably going to happen.

Wasn't expecting much when I saw it appear either, but it was a really good film. I preferred it to 'Don't Breathe' myself.
