I really prefer the small-scale arcs. Like you said, DDS1 is an anti-gentrification storyline, Jessica Jones is about catching a rapist… those work much better on TV than the cliche CW arcs about crazy idiot with superpowers wants to destroy the universe because reasons.

In terms of quality, the general consensus goes: Marvel/Netflix > MCU > Marvel/Broadcast > DCTVU > DCEU.

Samuel L. Jackson has appeared on the show already.

I watched one episode, which was the one with Flash guesting in it. Thought it was kinda ridiculous, juvenile and extremely poorly written, then I went on a board for the show and all the regular viewers were raving about how it was the best episode in forever. Long story short, I'm out for all four this year.

Trying to make sense of LoT is seriously detrimental to your psychological well-being. If there's one thing you should never wing, it's your rules for time-travel. Then it got contagious with Flash's completely retarded plotline about Thawne still being around in an echo despite being erased from existence.

They were doing alright until after Arrow season 2. When they started The Flash, it basically destroyed Arrow by forcing its DNA to change from a gritty, realistic series (albeit with a few sci-fi trappings) into a Smallville-esque show where death is cheap, everyone's a superhero and storylines veer from stupid to

That's kind of the point of this show… it's an anthology series set 10 minutes in the future.

I would assume the tech would be more mainstream by that point since the girl looked about 10 years old.

The episodes simply don't have the time to devote to world-building so as to satiate every question viewers might have. And to be honest, that's rarely the point. It's basically: this is the tech; this is what it does; this is how it affects the characters.

Expecting Americans to know the difference between Britain and Ireland is always a bit optimistic.

Late to the party here, but I also saw it as the media and the public slowly being complicit in a turn away from restorative justice. The park setup shows no interest in rehabilitation, only punishment, forevermore. The woman doesn't ever remember her crime for the vast portion of her suffering, so it kinda makes you

In an hour show, there are usually three 3-minute breaks during the show, and one after the show. Thus the running time for a 1-hour slot is 47 minutes. Obviously on the BBC that's closer to 58 minutes.

It better be in a god damn castle too!

Legally, yes; In reality, no.

And Chris Evans?

The production company wanted £25 million for it, whereas the BBC were offering £15 mil (still a sizeable increase on the bid for the previous series). ITV were interested, but not unless Mel and Sue were part of the deal.

See, that's just boring to me. 'Psychopath' is basically one of the more boring character-types you can create because (1) They are 'othered' it immediately puts distance between them and the viewer, (2) It usually results in lazy writing… it doesn't have to make sense, he's a psychopath, and (3) You end up resorting

Unpopular opinion: I think the Japanese live-action version was far, far better than the anime. I hated all of Light's insane 'flashlight under my face' rantings in the anime, and the Near arc was pointless. Should've ended where 'The Last Name' did… and don't get me started on how stupid Naomi was in the anime…

TWD's been pogoing over the shark for a while now. When it's good, this is the best zombie show on TV (my absolute favourite was the episode where all of their lives flash before them (early S2 ep I think). Outstanding.

They totally nailed the stepmother in this one, never a truer word has been spoken than when Fleabag is like 'She's not an evil stepmother, she's just a cunt.'
