lexus is different. Toyota was a one brand company that made a luxury brand to go above their single high volume brand. For ford to add another brand when they already had a volume brand, luxury brand and a middle in between brand was just making things more confusing to consumers like when they added edsel or when GM

they should have just sold them as ford sierras or whatever they are known as in europe, would have sold better than marketing a whole new brand. easier to market a new model. i am sure consumers were confused as to where and who exactly made them

hatch back sporty coupes are so underrated. great for road trips and to easier to get things in the back of the trunk

i always like it when manufactuers try something different. the windows on these cars always caught my eye and wish they kept the design going on something else. my guess for this is so they can make bigger windows and still be able to roll them down all the way.

did not know they actually sold these in the US!

i always wondered why the cruze diesel was so much more expensive, because they actually invested money to make it pass emissions

if it was legal to enter a test mode, everyone would be doing it and profiting like crazy. diesels would be everywhere and they would be lot more cheaper. but not only diesels but gas engines too. using cheaper cat converters that do half the job and the cheat does the rest would be a dream to corporate bean counters

i learned to drive stick around 27 years old while working as a vehicle transporter. one thing that i learned its a lot of feeling what is going on. not sure if the game controls would take in consideration starting on a hill or the feeling of rolling back in how much clutch to give. or offer resistance in a stiff

i wish manufacturers still made things like this today. i miss the odd soft tops of the past.

haha, i am sure its a great car. but its just still funny to me.

I just found out the Fiat 500L is assembled in Serbia. in the same factory as the infamous Yugo. that just sounds like a punchline of a joke to me lol

i wonder if this means there will be a jump in sales of Chevy Cruz diesels. GM should jump on marketing them right now. Nice cars, if only they had a spare tire come with them.

i should get a set of historic plates for my 89 Tracker. just for fun lol

i was looking a while back for a early 1980s diesel rabbit to do an engine swap into my 89 Tracker. i thought i was going to find a rotten running car for like $500 but instead could not find one under $1500 with a shot body. diesels hold their value

ford transit connect does too. which is odd since it was done to protect domestic companies lol

still kicking myself for not buying one of these once. it was a 4 turbo, 5 speed, panel van with rear barn doors. rarest possible combo. and it ended up getting crushed :(

back when toyota was braver and more innovative. you do not become number one without cheaping out in designs and innovative stuff.

its a shame diesel compact pickups did not survive the 1980s. i have some high hopes for the Colorado Diesel. Hopefully other manufacturers will follow and compete for MPG and torque numbers in this class

just something about the shape of the door always catches my eye

its still dull looking like my 2012 Impala. but i am sure it drives nicer. kudos to VW for still offering a v6 engine option when many are offering only v6 engines. its nice to have choices in life
