I really don't like when show runners do that. It's always better to plan the entire thing before execution. Take PLL for example, although it was a bad reveal they always knew it from the first episode. That just proves that they just killed someone for the sake of doing it and the shock factor too.

It's probably the first half of the season a short arc, or they might return to land a few episodes in the second season (probably the 5th one). So far i'm liking this arc.
