It doesn't matter if you can psychoacoustically differentiate between lossless and mp3 or ogg or aac or whatever. It matters if you THINK you can, because then everything you hear will bug the hell out of you.

I only really want to customise the icons on the taskbar, as they're the only ones I ever see. Wish it was as easy as it is in Rocketdock (I tried changing the .ico but nothing happened - guess I didn't rebuild the cache. Simple enough, but still too many steps for the average user)

nah, [folder.jpg] only worked in Vista/XP and down. Doesn't work in Windows 7 (much to my annoyance)

take the sim out of it? no mobile network, no phonecalls/internet. And don't set up a wifi port either. (guess you could build a custom rom without the dialer/phonebook,too. Wouldn't be much use without the market though imo)

What about the hardware keys? And you could hack a usb port in there to constantly charge the device while switched on. Cool though

what is important to me (and probably, ultimately you) is: are these landing pages formatted for mobile devices? And I don't mean the whole screen and you zoom in, I mean have special alternative stylesheets for small formfactors? Someone make it so, and I'll set one up with you :)

if it's stored locally how can anyone see it? I think you're confusing a start-page in your browser, with a Landing Page, which is more like a fancy business card.

yeah, Spellbook works really well. Still prefer buttons to click rather than right-clicks, but I've got so many buttons now that they need their own toolbar rather than being stuck at the top-right

exactly, it's all about making life easier. Back in the day I spent weeks testing WinDVD vs PowerDVD to see which one was better. The answer I found: whichever one you own. And if you don't own either, then go for VLC/Pot/etc.
