running the "Facebook Classic" extension in Chrome, so hasn't been an issue. But it's good that FB are fixing it. Most people just want a stream of news, like in every other social network. No idea why FB keep messing about with this "top news" thing (they've done it before, and removed it. It's just... stupid)

good stuff. (I prefer Mixcloud, but unfortunately there's no Android app yet)

well, for this reason: Photoshop is the INDUSTRY standard. Anyone who owns Photoshop already knows this stuff (or should). If Lifehacker is posting tips for "everyone else", they should use software that "everyone else" has, or can afford. Like Gimp. Paint.net. Etc

seriously though, I haven't used a client-side RSS reader since Google Reader came out. Similarly I haven't used a client-side Email client since Yahoo Mail came out.. 12 years ago? something like that.

vote: Google Reader

yeah. The only real reason for 3rd party defragmenting on Windows 7 is if you have another hard-drive with huge video or audio files on it. For the actual C: drive I'd just let Windows 7 do it's thing. Times have moved on

this is a better three-part tutorial on zombiefication:

yeah, the Creative Toolkit (Picnik-lite) has some great Halloween customisations

Vote: Windows 7 Defragger

setting up ANOTHER account on ANOTHER website for tasks is the deciding factor for me. If it doesn't sync (automatically and easily) with Google Tasks then it's not making my life simpler, it's just adding complexity. Taskos looks like the winner.

well, because it will sync everything Chrome does - passwords, extensions etc etc. Seamless experience, like it is on the desktop.

two different teams: the Chrome team, and the Android team. And the Chrome team recently said Chrome is coming to Android (and about time too)

I thought Chrome was coming out for Android soon? Is that the new ICS browser? Or will droidChrome make it irrelevant shortly?

Google's job isn't to make it look pretty, it's to provide a stable base OS. It's up to HTC/Samsung/MiUI etc to make it look pretty (which is fine by me)

Apple don't need to read emails from your bank, since they already KNOW you're broke after buying that iMac and iPhone 3/3g/4/4s/... :p

agreed, MIUI gives you the best of both worlds.

yeah, that's how I read it too. Does the site keep a copy of your files? Isn't it a bandwidth hog uploading it to them AND uploading it to your friend? You upload it twice? Confused.

got a link to the mtz? not that I want my droid to look like an iBrick *cough* ;)

lots more Miui setups here: [goo.gl] (thread on XDA forum). Some are very clever and beautiful (although lots of them aren't work-safe)
