Basic essential festival DIY that one, old as glass jars themselves :)

@Peter Kazakoff: if the "customer" can knock up a website they are happy with, for a fraction of the price you are offering (or even free), then the problem lies with you, not with the customer.

@Al Iguana: It narrowed it down to either Cooliris or Jetpack killing 3.5. (I run 30+ plugins so it took a while). I suspect Jetpack.

Having issues with 3.5. Every time I go on Facebook, or Gmail, (or anything else overly java-scripty) Firefox locks up. Infact, my whole computer does. I have to kill Firefox to get control back. Didn't happen with 3.0.* . Buggy plugins, buggy javascript, or buggy Firefox?

or just go to Filehippo and download the RC1 exe ;)

@Keter: yeah, my compost bin is about 50% coffee grounds. I drink a lot of coffee! it's not a crime! ;)

@MosesMonster: yeah, good thing about using Sports Tracker is not only can I keep my time/pace, a gps map of my location, I can also take photos, listen to music, use Twitter or check my email all at the same time, while plodding along.

bet the Apple/Nike/iPhone stuff wins. It is inevitable. Despite the fact that Nokia Sports Tracker wipes the floor with those services.

come on, they said that about Vista. And while I do actually know someone running Vista Home (because it came with the PC) ALL of the people I know who went out and bought it went for Ultimate. And in a quick unscientific straw-poll, those same people intend on buying 7 Ultimate too.

@mikelcal: developers rush straight to iPhone before anything - probably because ease/speed of development. Actually I'm surprised we haven't had an S60 version yet either.

@pcx339: thats my sticking-point with running the RC. You run it for a year, have all your software, docs, links, whateveryoulike all set up, then it starts nagging and you have to format your hard-drive and do a new install.

@chiggr: "IE and FF wouldn't be where they are without it"

@FrisbeeNaked: OpenOffice suits the needs of most folks just fine. I all depends on whether 1) your work machine has MS Office Installed 2) Insists on using it 3) you can afford to buy it.

@TheEmperorofChaos: that's what I do. I have a shared folder, and everytime I download and installer it goes into the shared folder. Every time I run Filehippo and download the latest versions they go in there too. This way I have a kind of local-Filehippo Mirror, that is accessable to every machine on my network (and

@WolframOstrich: you could have exactly the same setup using Windows or Linux. OS is irrelevant - it all depends on how many sheckles you're willing to spend.

Combination of Spybot S&D and AVG Free on every computer I've ever touched. Have never, and would never, pay for Anti-virus/anti-malware.

@JeRrYFaR: I haven't had a problem running anything, havn't tried a Firewall though - I'll hold off until Comodo announces full compatibility.

yeah, no offence but that looks like my GP's surgery. Needs: wood, prints, plants, photos, junk... I can't see a trash-can! argghghgh
