I hit a wall at 2-3pm, whether I've had 6 hours sleep or 12. It's bizarre and maddening. Strangely, I've found that if I skip midday lunch, I'm more awake (or at least, it puts off the crash until about 4pm)

if you download it from the MS Prophoto site, you don't have to validate. at least, I didn't.. (if you download it from Microsoft downloads, you have to press the validate button first)

give me Ad-Block or give me death.. erm... ok, over-dramatisation, but using a browser without Ad-Block is a hideous experience.

Welsh:

the thing with the "watched folder" is, that iTunes already has a watched folder. Whenever you buy something or rip something it goes into that folder. Apple's attitude seems to me: if you buy from us or rip using our software, we'll look after you. If you buy from elsewhere or rip using other software, that's your

oh, and you can't "turn off links to iTunes store" anymore. At least, they're showing up and I can't find the ticky-box to turn them off. Apple are REALLY pushing the store with i8, I guess competition from Amazon et al are forcing them to market it more aggressively.

two points:

@Phoenix Monakhos: that's not strictly a Wii hack, it's just using Wii controllers. Although that's even better, since you just have to buy a controller. Fantastic demo, I'm going to try that whiteboard one.

first it was Dugg, then Lifehacked. I have been trying to get on there all day.

They're clearly looking at the marketing opportunities here. EG if you're walking past a Starbucks, your phone will pop up with the latest offers etc. That was what we were "promised" with bluetooth, location aware advertising, so I can see them trying it with this.

i rip all my DVDs to h264, then tag them in iTunes, and play them on Vista Media Player. So...erm... I guess iTunes.

essential. I've been waiting for 6 ever since FF3 came out (wasn't brave enough to install the betas).

meh, hosepipe bans and sprinkers are irrelevant these days: for example, it's rained almost every day since May here in Wales. We have too much water... the garden is dying from overwatering. Grass can take care of itself anyhow, it has done for millions of years. If grass grows yellow where you live, that is NATURAL.

@redbeardjim: I don't know... practically everything in that video is in common use now, aside from the multimedia medical cards the video payphone. I have a video cellphone, so it's not far off though.

I don't want this someday... I want it NOW!

People slag Microsoft off for not being adventurous, for being followers, but there are some fantastic things coming out of Microsoft, if you just look. This is one of them. Now, if I can work out how to launch the "morning" thing by voice command, I'll be set :)

Never used them, first thing I did with my Gmail account was switch them off.

meanwhile, the Feds are collecting the IPs of everyone who watches that video, and putting them in a "have knowledge" database. The next time some house in your neighbourhood gets "bumped", you get a knock.

@aj_robins: I use a Onenote plugin for Firefox, actually it works better than the Evernote one (I think). And you don't have to have OneNote running to use it.
