This realy feels like it’s not a huge problem. Hasn’t there been so many other government officials who have done way worst things and been givin a pass?

I really wish telling people to stop pre-ordering games work. But we live in a world full of people who have an itch for incentives. I would imagine that after the first hour of any game, the pre-order perks are useless.
