@Deadlinex: The Mac Quaddro is only sold by Apple, thus relevant. If third parties could sell it it would be the same price. Its just Apple taking something and trebling the price for zero reason, theres no RND costs in it for them or anything.

@ian.g.case: Heres another. Quadro 4000 for PC $434.99 . Quaddro 4000 for MAC (not interchangeable) $1,199.95. The same card, just ones being sold by Apple, the other by everyone else.

I'm on a Brocean.: How come i managed to buy better parts than the Mac pro, for under a grand, when i was quoted over 7k per machine from Apple (For the builds i require, ergo modern components you have to actually call, they do not sell a decent specced machine to the average…

@allan.ross: It is true. Look it up. Newegg etc. In 2008 i compared the mac pro components (as i was looking for new setups for all my staff) It was 6000$ less PER MACHINE to build them myself.
