One of the most insidious things about this “forgiveness” lesson that is so common on the Right -- it’s not forgiveness, it’s an erasure of accountability. Forgiveness means I agree to move forward from this infraction against me, it does not mean the other person doesn’t have to suffer any kind of punishment or…

JFC...the religious right is no better than the fucking Proud Boys, etc. The religious right are certainly more dangerous. I’m wondering why these teachers or counselors didn’t just step in, stop this shit and take the students back to school. There’s a 0% chance I would have tolerated this shit.
