@pɹɐoqʎǝʞuǝʞoɹq: Yeah, because free child porn doesn't exist on the regular sites, mailing lists, usenet, torrent, dc++ and a host of other file sharing mediums.

@Nitesh: Yeah, but siege tanks were involved this time. South Korea should bring in some cloaked Banshees (aka F-22's) to deal with it.

@MrGOH: Real hyper-advanced civilizations would build a dyson sphere around your mega-sized Earth using elements from several dead stars and an energy-to-matter converter.

@SkipErnst: Aren't the bomb sniffing dogs there just for that?

@chromey: Just you, good sir.

@Kakkoii: Yeah I read that story too, both of them actually. The point is more to do with making them in a commercially viable way. ie mass production. Proving a theoretical concept in a lab is only a good start.

@jackslackofselfrespect: The vertical bonds in graphene are weak. Thats why pencils work. Sheets of graphene are being stripped off by slight pressure. This material is probably complex as hell to manufacture. Even making large uniform sheets of graphene is hard. If it were easy, they'd have been used in

This looks campy in a not-sure-if-want way.

@taniquetil: Mind you, this is a country where they'll rent you capsules not much bigger than a coffin and pass it off as a mini hotel room. He probably still gets laid more often than the guy who tries to bring his date back to that.

So this is on Gizmodo because facebook was involved? I'd think by now facebook is going to be involved in fanning the flames of most drama, big or small.

Sex hair!

@GM_Pax: I've already read some Honorverse stuff, its similar to the fleet battle stuff in Battletech or Wing Commander :p

How wierd, I saw Space Battleship Yamato Revival movie last night (never having seen any SBY stuff before). The cg was pretty great, but the plot and pacing had a bunchof holes in it - and there are so many things wrong with taking navy warfare into space in a literal way.

Going unmanned in 2030 is all fine and dandy, but the actual plane characteristics will be quite different depending on who the enemy is. If its still regional nonsense, a few really good planes that are reliable and versatile will be key.

@Cad97dude: Fiber optic cables are the ideal solution, but without copper you are still going to need some other cable to charge devices. Unless induction charging takes off in an epic way, USB3 is still more practical.

This was a pretty good article, good job.

The styling on the right looks way better, but the grey backgrounds are probably more practical with so many phones featuring AMOLED screens.

@PMAstyle: They were kind of forced to. Those games probably started development in 2005-2006 when their reputation for being shovelweare disc-stampers was at its highest. Mirror's Edge and Dead Space were both novel (whether fun or successful is subjective), but I haven't seen much since and both are late 2007 games.

A full remake of BF1942 (with naval combat and stuff) or 2142 would be appreciated. Anything else is mehhh.

@spamfeed: In the narrow context of tech policy, seeing a rep up there would make anyone do a double take. The whole premise of their platform is to let business/market do its own thing in the name of efficiency, which means doing nothing unless someone can prove how anti-consumer practices have a greater economic
