I used to have to reformat and reinsall like, every couple months with Windows 98. XP changed that.. ran from the first retail release all the way up to SP3 without a reformat.

The ones I use usually come from 4chan, although InterfaceLift is pretty great too if you're looking for some impressive scenery to put on your mom's desktop.

@Kanji08: I had to rub my temples after that.

@SirDano1: Cool or erotic. Yeah, I'm gonna have to go with erotic. Nobody gives a damn if you look "cool" in a video game but you, so you might as well have some pretty little thing to look at. Besides, cool in a MMO is usually syononymous with grinding for obscene hours to get some epic armor set.

The sequels were a problem even before the global economic turndown. The idea of it becoming worse is just.. ugh.

@Rachel Fogg: "See, if you bend to 15, then it can go lower...there ARE 9 yr old with children these days."

@Rachel Fogg: This post is only partially related to the news story at hand, but, I seriously hope you are not confusing illegal with wrong. Maybe a poor choice of words?

The "Starting at.." part is more disturbing. It reminds me of the data usage calculators you find on mobile carriers' websites. Example:

Why'd they have to pick on Kirby :(

Linear game experience blows. It feels like a regression of sorts, because the developers of these games secretly wish they were movie directors - and if I wanted to watch a movie I'd you know.. watch a movie.

@Shiryu: Was into both of those. Dogfighting with WW2 era planes with soldiers and tanks on the ground is something of a groundbreaking experience. The torpedo runs, the flak storm, the naval warfare, oh my. Gets me all wet and nostalgic.

@Shiryu: That is to say, its looking more and more like.. Battlefield? :\

Those graphics are *really* good. Its like.. they finally started making native PC games after a three year hiatus (four years when this thing launches). Some nice tessellation and HDAO on the rocky canyon parts.

Further evidence that Microsoft has no clue what made PC gaming so great or why theirs is the platform of choice.

I know its pretty subjective, but 2009 absolutely sucked for gaming. The only thing I got any fun or extended play from was Borderlands and Dragon Age. 2010 will be a good year even if only SC2 is released, assuming you are anticipating it. I'm also looking forward to Bad Company 2, since MW2 was underwhelming even

I looked through the source links provided, the original $199 figure comes from a tipster claiming:

@churnin: If nothing else, he's far more likely to get a speeding ticket ;p

Nothing says "snipe me" like a bright red shirt amidst all that dreary grey camo.
