The Shameless remake has worked pretty well. Much better than the UK original.

I find the show even funnier on the second viewing. I notice a lot of things I missed the first time and the jokes still feel fresh. I'm not sure how long that feeling will last, but I hope they can make it work for quite a few seasons.

I can't relate to a lot of the characters I watch on TV. I'm not a middle-aged white single father, but I love Louie. I'm not a chemist with lung cancer, but I love the shit out of Breaking Bad. I guess I like good storytelling, well-written characters, so on and so forth.
