Honestly, I do too. Yet one more reason why my husband and I only see drive-in shows now. I know this isn’t the time or the place really but it’s deeply impacting my ability to feel safe anywhere, or feel comfortable having kids when I know their safety is consistently compromised.

Thank you :) It’s been difficult for both of us - he had to accept that his parents and extended family made an awful judgment call and didn’t accept me, for whatever stupid reason they considered, which was difficult for him.

He’s changing his number and his name to avoid them. They went royally off of the deep end once we got engaged and have been stuck there ever since, even though we’ve been married for two years this summer. His parents both passed away last year and that just made things even worse. I cannot wait to put distance…

I’m sorry you had to deal with that, it sounds absolutely terrifying. We are making a clean break next summer when we leave the area, but this is the first step in a series of many that will signify our official separation from craziness and drama.

So it looks like we’re moving (among other things) because we don’t want his family to have our contact information. Really, we’re switching units in our apartment complex but this lessens the possibility that they’ll be able to contact us directly.

I can’t even fathom how their insurance will cover this. Kids + high-risk of injury and potentially/likely negligent parents? Are there* yeesh overtired stairs under the play area, so people will be passing underneath as kids play/drop out of it? How is this even a thing?!

At this point, I’d be shocked if anyone associated with this clustermess in politics formed a coherent, perfectly articulate, intellectual thought.
