That’s wonderful! I hope you have a great and relaxing weekend.

Awww that’s what I’m learning. I’m still adjusting to an unconventional schedule after years of having a normal 7-3 M-F position. It’s interesting to say the least.
There is a pretty good relaxation app called “calm” that I am trying to listen to. Also, exercise and meditation. And listening to music and dancing or engaging in activities that are stress relievers for you - any sort of athletic movement tends to help me get my mind off of things.
Any poor schlubs work Saturdays or weekends like me? I’m just getting used to this - not really a fan, but can probably manage it for a few months.
Honestly that was one factor (amongst a laundry list of others) that made me run far away from my previous employer. The idea that we should feel indebted to them to have a job and willingly sacrifice any free time we might have to do additional duties that management suddenly deemed 100% absolutely necessary, despite…
Thanks so much for the rec! I am definitely leaning towards a backpack because of practicality - I’ve tried to use my messenger bag and it is really too small and cumbersome to be of much help when running to and from class and work. I’m looking at High Sierra and Jansport but will consider Samsonite as well. Maybe it…
Thank you! I was looking at LL Bean for bags (holdover from my prep school days) but am now considering Jansport and High Sierra. Will likely go with one of those options. Much more sophisticated and practical.
Back to school jezzies - any backpack recs?
It sounds like a wonderfully supportive place for you and I’m sure it will work out! I am wishing the best for you!
They never seem to get rid of crappy coworkers. I left my previous job due to my coworkers (and the actual career trajectory as well). My most recent position has me mostly working alone so hopefully I can deal with this position for the next few months.
I used to belong to a personal training gym and it was really fun going to class - we’d see the same people, the trainers helped us work toward our goals (my husband and I joined a few months before we got married to help us get into better shape). You can see if they’ll give you a consultation and recommendation for…
I used to have my motorcycle license but haven’t had the guts to renew it once I moved out here. We live in Cali and I cannot stand the drivers out here - much less consider riding around them on a motorcycle. I can’t wait to move back east and get back to roads where I actually feel comfortable. I really miss the…
No but for other reasons my doctor (and other doctors I had to see) were recommending that I take disability leave at the end of my teaching career. I left teaching permanently at the end of last school year and am far happier for it. It may be the case that you need a break, and usually when medical personnel get to…
So my last year and a half of teaching was my busiest - I was taking classes, teaching, and either planning a wedding or trying to juggle my time. It is possible - you won’t have a life, and you may feel like you are going crazy, but it is possible. And so worth it. You can do it! I believe in you!
LMFAO he reminds me of a rich heir living in a yurt or some crap. (Like when my bff was in college - an Ivy - there was someone living in a yurt right in the middle of campus). Anyway, I can so see him doing that. That is too funny.
I love that quilt! It’s so pretty!
FYI: I had to let my guard down with my husband and trust that his feelings were genuine and he wasn’t going to be a jerk. He never has and once I loosened up (and felt it as you put it) things went swimmingly. Definitely give it a go until (and unless) you see any red flags worth avoiding. :)
Yeah he really squicked me out. I caught a re-airing this week before I went into work and he was just giving Nicky a slightly more-souped Miata (same year, same color) as he had given his ex. Like is this COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS or just outright refusing therapy at this point?!
Tom seems insanely insecure due to his inability to move past his whole bus thing. Like dude if you keep using it as a test for women and you are baiting Lily with it, perhaps you should just give up and buy a divey apt like the rest of society and try to keep it clean and livable like the rest of us. I don’t know…
I haven’t been able to catch that in years. I thought they stopped airing it awhile ago but every once in awhile I’ll see it listed on my channel lineup and catch a marathon from previous seasons. When is it on? Is it still on the country music channel?
