As a still diehard Leafs fan but not Torontonian I’m a little surprised to hear that people don’t have hope for the future. The Marlies are destroying the AHL, the Leafs have a ton of picks in this draft (plus players to trade), and management actually seems to be moving in the right direction. I don’t blame people…

“Buy something with 4x4 and solid steel bumpers, make sure its safe to drive, put on a great set of studded winters,” is not useful advice for somebody trying to drive home from work during a snowstorm. That is not something they can choose to do. They have the cars they have, and they’re trying to get home in them.

“Get snow tires/tyres” is not useful advice for someone trying to drive home from work in a snowstorm. That is not something they can choose to do.
