Given his first thought when his daughter is found is to turn it into content I don’t think he needs to “explain” why she ran away.
Ah ok I misread your comment as condemning the general use of social media to find his daughter. Yeah the idea of using your new audience to share about the potential personal trauma of your kid is scummy, although we don’t know if that’s the case or not of course.
I don’t blame him. When my sister ran away, I drove around for hours checking every location I thought she might be. I found nothing. It was a waste of time because I only learned of her location after one of her friends told me, and it’s somewhere I would have never checked.
Absolutely this. Let’s not feed the narrative of “well he’s just using this personal tragedy for internet fame”. Not to mention that if there is a story to tell it likely isn’t his to tell, it’s his daughters. If he does tell it I hope kotaku has the sense to not write a story about it.
Not sure how normal it is for kids to disappear out of the blue. Most families I know would make a pretty big deal over this considering that they care about their kids and would worry about whether or not their kids are, you know, alive or not.
Yeah, I echo this sentiment. She’s 15. She doesn’t deserve to have her personal life aired out on the internet, which will haunt her forever.
Um yeah... tell that to my wife
Not in this way it is not normal in English at all at least not in how people commonly speak in the US. Yes, I have looked it up and see Websters description of it and how the word “you” used to be plural or “If someone calls, tell them I’ll be back soon.” etc.... In perfect scenario like Websters describes, yes, it…
Diamonds are just rocks, fossils are just old bones and museums are full of very old, very dead people’s garbage. You can be nihilistic about just about anything if you try hard enough.
No need to be a jerk about it. Damn.
You didn't say that tho, you asked what consoles it was on. Which like homie said was found in the article
“To think PSN is some bastion of quality is laughable.”
I was bored of this comment after like, the third word I read someone else write.
What? Those games are made by Sony studios. Bethesda was a 3rd party studio making games that were multiplatform for decades. Even if Xbox owns them now they were not XBOX games and those games would have 100% hit Playstation consoles.
It is clear you do not understand the entire point of this article.
If only there was a solution!
I don’t have a CPU in my computer to match it
The best analogy I’ve heard yet is that you don’t call the fire department to spray water on every house when one of them is actively on fire. Yea sure, all the houses matter, but that’s not really the most urgent issue.
FOH! White people are allowed apparently to shoot us over other people’s fucking property; you getting your knickers in a twist over a mere ass kicking is some bullshit.
