Our discussion about Starla got me thinking about a new topic…

Re: Kate saying "I love you", I don't think it would have made a difference for the Incident. That was going to happen no matter what. Maybe I'm way off base, but I was just thinking that if she said it, it might have changed Jack's mind about setting off the nuke. It's also possible that even if she does say that,

Maybe the Sawyer of the first few seasons is one of those guys who simply enjoyed the thrill of the chase, and once he got the girl, he didn't know how to handle himself.

"I don't know what Kate could have done to fix things with Jack. That they didn't sit together on Ajira 316 kind of spells it out."

Exactly. If they're "game changers", the players are plenty capable of creating fireworks on their own. Maybe without all these advantages, the game plays out completely different. Malcolm, for example, doesn't get screwed over by that twist. Jeff Varner doesn't make a desperate move at Tribal; Tai doesn't get two

I like that idea, and I'm going to have my own connection to the mainland with my next pick, Frank Lapidus.

I remember you writing somewhere in this thread about Juliet being pregnant before she died. I don't remember where, but in watching this, combined with the previous hour, definitely got me thinking she was pregnant as well.

The last time we discussed this, you wrote above about Hurley thinking that "Sawyer has a plan", and that "It's as if he has this massive confidence that everything is going to play out the way it's supposed to." What's interesting to me about the end of the season is how Hurley doesn't seem horrified by Jack's plan

Oh yeah, Charlotte would be so excited to explore the Island with no danger looming. She'd need a journal twice the size of Daniel's or Claire's, because she would be filling dozens of pages every week.

Here's mine:

I was paying close attention to Daniel's behavior on this rewatch. When he comes to Jack, he tells him that Jack wasn't supposed to come back to the Island, that Eloise was wrong and it wasn't their destiny. But is Daniel saying this because he's angry with his mother for controlling his life's path, or because the

I think you're right that Hurley wouldn't have wanted his parents to see him like that. He must have felt terribly guilty for what he put his mother through before, and having his father back in their lives improved things for all of them.

'From the first moment we see Widmore as a teenager, he's ruthless - probably the one who orchestrated the killing of the remaining military forces on the Island. Yet for some reason Jacob (via Richard) allows Widmore to lead the Others for many years, long after Eloise leaves him in 1977."

I like that pick. Eko's story begs for more to be told, and if the actor had wanted to stay, I could see him finishing that church and being an important part of Hurley's new regime.

I think you're actually in the majority, not associating fun with the show. I'll qualify that though by saying people who are still fans are the ones who enjoyed the journey. If you valued characters over the mystery, you probably did have more fun with episodes like the ones we mentioned.

This one should be fairly simple to answer: what episodes did you have the most fun watching? I've been thinking about this one enough to form two lists: one with the obvious choices and ones that are not so obvious.

Is it possible that the reason we keep seeing Savitar kill Iris in the future is because Killer Frost suggests it so that she can get Iris out of the picture and have Barry for herself?

Doesn't STAR Labs also have a metahuman locator on their computers? If Cisco had just gone back and looked at that, they could have easily found Caitlin. I also wonder why they don't just make another power dampening necklace or cuffs and have Barry or Wally put it on her as soon as they find her.

I have to say, of all the supporting characters on the show, I never would have guessed you would pick Aaron. But it makes sense: the two are linked from the beginning, and Aaron is a powerful motivator not just for her, but for Kate as well. And if nothing else, his birth provided one of the best group moments in

Something about watching that scene in 1988 stuck with me on this rewatch, and it ties in to Ben and Widmore, and the "rules". In the opening of this episode, Widmore tells Richard that he should have let Ben die, instead of taking him to the Temple. When Ben takes Alex back to the camp in 1988, Widmore wants him to
