This isn't really related to your comment, more of a thought about Locke in general. It's been well covered how easily he's been duped, on the Island and off, but with this episode and the next, I started thinking about how the writers are approaching this from the character's POV.

Thanks for sharing that story. As Hurley would say, it's awesome that you beat the odds.

Simple solution to keep Caitlin from turning into Killer Frost: have Barry or Wally present during the surgery, remove the necklace, and when her injuries heal, the speedster quickly puts it back on. No Killer Frost, no Caitlin death, done.

There's a couple things I felt were worth mentioning about this: while Hurley should be rightfully praised for keeping those seats empty, Jack also expressed his concern to Ben about the random passengers who did make it on the plane. It shows that Jack is starting to get back to the man that he was before he got off

Okay, I'm getting that some people have a problem with this statement, but it's one opinion. I thought Denise was a very worthy winner and she played an excellent game, but I thought Malcolm did as well.

I agree with you to a point, but Malcolm wasn't playing against newbies either. There's several others playing for their 3rd or 4th time as well; you could just see how badly Malcolm wanted to keep playing.

This is going to come up every week as long as Sandra stays in the game. JT had a gift fall into his lap, he seemed to want to work with Malcolm and then he pulls that stunt.

It's a tough one to choose from; there are so many great characters (which is kind of the point of this exercise, LOL).

I would say it has to do with the stakes of Season 6, when we see that Jacob has been watching the candidates from the Lighthouse. This is Jacob's last shot; if he doesn't get this right, then what? I don't think he has the desire or energy to start all over again with a new set of candidates. So if he doesn't put

Yeah, good call on that…I knew I was forgetting someone. And actually, if we wanted to get technical, Claire is there more days than Sawyer because he had been kidnapped and taken to the other island for a short period. :-)

I thought of a reason why Kate would include Michael on that list of people they lost. She's been thinking about what they need to do with Aaron, and what Claire was going to do if Oceanic had landed in Los Angeles.

This is definitely something to consider given how long Jacob was on the Island, (and it seems) mostly by himself. I'm remembering that line from Season 3 when Ben and Sawyer were both quoting lines from "Of Mice and Men", and Ben says something about a guy getting so lonely, he gets sick.

I'm surprised to hear that about "The Boys of Bummer"; I recently watched that again and it's still pretty funny to me. "Lisa Goes Gaga" on the other hand, yeah that wasn't good. One of the few Simpsons episodes I haven't rewatched, along with "Moe Goes from Rags to Riches".

Thought it would be a good time for another random question: who do you think had the best experience during their time on the Island, and who do you think had the worst? It seems appropriate given where I'm at in my rewatch, with all the craziness of the time travelling.

One thing I've been thinking about lately is how much more involved Hurley is in these big decisions about protecting the Island, and protecting each other (and it shows up especially in Season 6). Jack wants everyone to buy into the lie, but Hurley holds out and tries to convince everyone to do the same. Kate's

I thought a Tony/Sandra alliance sounded really intriguing, and could have made for some great fireworks deep in the game, but at least we got one good hour out of it.

Lost Character Fantasy Draft

I didn't know the meaning of "diegetic" (not sure if it's spelled this way or what you wrote) before you suggested it. After looking it up, as I understand it, it's the music that the characters themselves can hear, and the rest is what we can hear.

It's definitely a good argument on your part for Ethan being a sociopath. I'm not fully convinced, but I haven't put tons of thought into it either. I do believe that it could be a con job, especially if Ethan has been through what you call "the School of Ben" like with Juliet.

When I was typing the second section, my thought was, @avclub-387212ba9644c8b7f3d7178512148235:disqus is going to think I'm shipping Hurley and Claire now. :-)
