I laughed, too, even though the songs were presented and shot in a very respectful way.

This reminds me so much of the Sad Sad Conversation youtube channel. Love it.
Wiretap is one of my absolute favorites!
sounds good to me
I was a little worried when I heard the rumors of change, but these all sound great. I especially like the notifications features, and the live-updates.
What was painful was that you knew the whole time he was talking, she was going to say no. He knew it, too, but he just kept on going.
ouch
I love Pamela, but watching Louie give that speech was one of the most painful things I have ever witness on a 30-minute tv show. I've given similar speeches, and it never ends well.
favorite part
I loved when he told his daughter not to ask about the word because Aunt Ellen "is from a different time," then his daughter pointed out, "But you wanted us to learn about that time." Such a good point. Instead of pretending that racism doesn't exist or getting uncomfortable, he was ready to let his…
wonderful
I can tell O'Neal wrote this because I laughed the whole time I read it.
I glad someone pointed that out. It was the least erotic sex scene in the show's history, and that was definitely intentional.
He was on Late Night with Conan that I'm weirded out that lots of people are unfamiliar with his stand-up. He's so ranty and hilarious. I love it.
I'm a big fan of that Maria Bamford episode. It feels like something we shouldn't be allowed to hear because she gets so personal.
Other favorites: Ken Jeong, Dana Gould, Thomas Lennon, and Dino Stamatopoulos
my own stray observations
-I could not stop laughing at Pamela Adlon while she cooked that old guy an egg. It was so weird and wonderful.
-"What about Obama?" was the best line of the night.
-TODD BARRY!
-I got a little misty at the end of the episode. It's strange how much I relate to this show, even though I'm a 25…
Lord forbid the women contributors to this site write about pop-culture issues that affect women all at once. They'll scare the boys away!
She does it live all the time. When I saw her on St. Patrick's Day, she played Born This Way with nothing but piano, then performed the album version as part of the encore.
Oh my god, Sean Cullen references in an article about pop music. Let's get married.
I'm not serious, I was just playing up the lame Omaha vs. Council Bluffs bullshit that pops up sometimes. I agree, a lot of the Midwest is pretty flat and dull when you're just driving through, but Omaha has all kinds of cool shit.
Yay!
I saw there was an AV Club Omaha Facebook, but there was no information about getting the paper. So this is pretty exciting news!
That was Council Bluffs, bb.
That would have been AWESOME.
I agree with Asuka's list. I cannot stand "You and I," but I can't get enough of "Electric Chapel" and "Judas." Upon first listen, I though the whole album was a stinker, but the more I listen to it, the better it gets.
