Yeah. And here's the result:

Why use median, rather than average? Also, where's the source of your data?

Except, that's wrong. The average length of MLB games this season is 188 minutes. The average length of a football game last season was 190 minutes.

Beside two measly minutes, what's the difference? Well, a football game is an event. Cities only get 8 of them a year, whereas baseball teams play 81 games at home a

I assume you've been living on Mars the past 20 or so years, yes?

Plekanec had a variety of examples to follow. From one team.

If it's any consolation to Croatia, that official will almost certainly not be working a single game during the knockout stage.

The ad is terrific, but a simple question here - if the tribes are as impoverished as claimed, isn't their money better spent on, you know, actual people - rather than on some idiotic team name playing a silly sport?

Kind of a stretch to assume this team is automatic for 2018 qualification, isn't it?

The real story is Capsland is MacLellan, don't you think? Wasn't his promotion more than a little odd?

Habs were extremely unlucky in game 2, and finished with their PDO at ridiculous 80. Game 3, the bounces went the other way, and it now sits at 97.8. That's what makes hockey so wonderful and terribly frustrating. You just never know.

I'm beginning to sense that any numbers beyond what's posted on the scoreboard are too complicated for some Rangers fans to comprehend. Strange, that.

Boston gets a pass on this on. The flag flying at City Hall was the one sent down by Montreal's Mayor. Apparently he had no idea what an actual flag looks like.

It's a great call. The greatest? Naw.

There's this:

But the rest of the game *was* one-sided. Good grief, you guys.

Nope. Not what happened.

I never argued that the Rangers are in danger. I said that if the Habs play games 3 and 4 just as well as they played game 2, they stand a very good chance of winning. Certainly one game, and possibly two. Even IF Montreal were to win both games at MSG, that still wouldn't put the Rangers in mortal danger for the

This isn't being stubborn. One game samplings are just fine for providing an indicator of who played better. The vast, vast majority of games where a team that has a 65+ Corsi percentage, won those games.

You can't go there. You can't say "if x team isn't leading by x goals then they would play y game, therefore you should just toss out all the data". It don't work that way :)

Sure, if you only took all of your stats from just one game, you'd be doing it wrong. Nonetheless, you have to look at indicators within games to see what was going well, what wasn't. On the whole, the Habs just plain dominated that game. Because of the marvelous performance of Lundqvist, however, they lost. This is

No. That article is totally out to lunch. A chart was compiled last year showing teams with high possession ratings were almost, without rare exception, the same teams that pushed deep into the playoffs/won championships.
