Pero.... Ellos pasaron.
Pero.... Ellos pasaron.
Strangely, Atleti was the team of Franco's government at the beginning (they were even named after the Air Force). Real only became the established team after they started their dynasty with Di Stefano, etc. Obviously their histories have diverged since then.
Though quite frankly, I hate them both.
Sincerely,

I starred your comment because you're spot on, but it's important to note that sexuality in ancient Greece was INCREDIBLY different from ours and there was really no sense of our current "gay" and "straight" (at least for men). Just a pet peeve of mine.
This. Also, I rarely go on dates, but if I do I pay SUCH close attention to how my date treats the server & rest of staff. The way someone treats restaurant employees is a window into their soul, and being a dick to them is the biggest turn off in the world.
Not sure if you guys have previously covered it, but here's an actually uplifting involving NFL players (a nice change of pace).

A lot of the comments here are ridiculing the fact that one has to take classes to be a coach, and while at first glance I would agree, the talent that Spain has produced at the youth level in the past decade or so (following the reorganization of the country's sporting infrastructure following the Barcelona Olympics)…
There are certifications. This article touches on it (in an English context)

Valencia and Sevilla (the former especially) seem to be pretty damn good this year as well. Should be a very exciting season!
My prediction is this Madrid team plays out like the 03-04 team after they got rid of
Fuck it. I'm moving to Mars.
Mundo Deportivo and Sport are basically the Marca's of Barcelona. I wouldn't trust a word they write.
I agree, this is great. I have an irrational hatred of the EPL and their homers though so I wish a different league was taking primacy in the US. I guess it was inevitable though.
How would you explain the popularity of soccer teams where certain teams have the it locked up basically before the season even starts?
Not that I think we should get involved, but we do owe Ukraine something. We GUARANTEED their security (well, us and Russia) when they gave up their nukes. Who needs enemies when you got friends, right?
Looking forward to another year of English teams choking but somehow still being considered the best league in the world. Last 3 years, 2 of them have made it to the quarterfinals where they've gotten the boot.
Don't sleep on Bilbao. Remember when they destroyed United a few years ago?
I just want Deportivo to survive.
And Atleti to win it all again, screw the haters!
I never understood the trash talking by Rafa and Federer fans. The guys are good friends, great competitors, and carry themselves with a ton of class; the folks who support them should do the same.
Djokovic, on the other hand, I LOATHE....
Gahhh! I've been trying to go on a solid vacation for two years but can never get anyone to go with me. I've spent a day or two stop-overs in random European cities alone but for some reason I can't bring myself to pull the trigger on a completely solo trip. Especially when hotels are soooo much more expensive when…
Before people get all butthurt they need to realize no one made these choices are picked this list, it's literally just run through a computer going by set criteria. I doesn't mean Spain is the 6th best team in the world right now, it just added the WC to their cumulative points.
To be real "Pimentón de la Vera" it has to be from Spain, but yeah, if it's smoked it's gonna be pretty much the same thing. Delish!
