Wow. I haven't read any of your articles before, but I'm assuming you're a huge Barça fan? And a Catalan nationalist?

One of the great things about the current Spain side is their ability to unite as a team, and to bridge cultural divides. One only need to look at the celebrations in Plaza España during the final

True, though that part of Ukraine (Galicia) had never been under the influence of Russia until the Nazi/Soviet partition of Poland in 1939. That's a long time to fall, considering how long Russia's been meddling in the area. And there was also a lot of partisan activity under the Soviets.

Oh, I absolutely agree you have a right to tell people from other cultures what you think is right and wrong. Perhaps you even have an obligation to do so. Though, that can get murky- different cultures certainly have different values, some perhaps better than others.

People (Americans) don't accept things in Wisconsin or Rhode Island because they don't have to, and can change those things.
Americans have no right, nor real ability, to tell people in Oman or Sudan what the fuck to do.

+1 but in all honesty, Lviv is the heartland anti-Russian western Ukraine. Even if Putin goes after the east, he won't go that far.

I totally understand what you're saying, I've actually struggled with picking a Premier League team because I don't want to root for a big one as well (I also find myself disgusted with English soccer after trying to watch 3 weeks in a row on TV, so I don't stick around too long). I usually end up cheering for

People have short memories. It's only been the last decade (really the last 5 years) that has seemed like such a two horse race. The T.V. money situation will change eventually.

That being said, become a Deportivo fan! No one will fault you for being a front runner for that. And at least you have a storied

This whole thing reminds me of when Raul was dropped from the Spain squad. As much as it hurts, hopefully it has the same positive repercussions.

Agree on your other points, but I don'k know a single person who could be considered an NJ Nets fan who still supported them after the move

My friends and I have two rival factions, the "Sacred Band" and the "Brotherhood of the Wolf", consisting of the circumcised and un-circumcised members of our friend group. We are locked in eternal conflict and shall be so for the rest of eternity. To the death!

Deals are still to be had in Manhattan. I've paid around $1100 for the past three years in 3 different neighborhoods south of 14th street. Above 110th you can get even better deals. You just need to be single and have roommates.

Good on them. I was in Sigma Phi Epislon in college and pretty much the only reason I joined was because there was no hazing. Hopefully they'll attract some different types of people now.

Spain is wayyyy to high on the racist history list. I'm assuming you're referring to Native Americans? If US only gets HM for that, Spain deserves even less.

Not gonna lie, Sotheby's Realty is in my bookmarks.

I always assumed people now called it the BPL as opposed to the EPL because there are currently two Welsh sides in the league, hence "British" as opposed to "English". If it stands for Barclay's you're right though!

I agree. There have been only four BPL Champions since 1995 (United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and City). There have been 5 in that period in La Liga (Atlético, Real, Depor, Valencia, and Barça). But this is the U.S. so our cultural ties to the UK turn everyone into BPL fanboys.
