I honestly have no idea how old L from Death Note is.
That seems to be the way most games go nowadays, normal edition is just the case with the game, or a digital download, where the collector's edition comes with a box and goodies....

As someone who occasionally watches both Markiplier and PewdiePie, I don't really see the resemblance...

Now hopefully we can see them modded into the PC version, as much as I love the original cast it feels like any new models on the workshop or the mod sites are really poorly put together, or just reskins of the original survivors.
You're blowing this out of proportion. We've seen the cover. We haven't seen anything inside the magazine to indicate things other than an inspiration for the characters was taken.
