That’s not why he erased her memory. He erased her memory because he wanted things to go back to the way they were so they could be happy. It’s much like Willow/Tara in Buffy season 6 “Once More, with Feeling”. Willow erases part of Tara’s memories because she doesn’t want to fight and she wants everyone to be happy.

It’s even more incredible to consider Navid Negahban wasn’t even the original actor to play Farouk. They shot at least some material with Said Taghmaoui before abruptly recasting.

Farouk got to keep his body. Charles killing him originally is what led to him hiding out in David’s mind.

...you mean after Farouk lectures Charles about the infinite possibilities of battle on the Astral Plane before summoning a beer, which Charles takes & drinks, rather than summoning one of his own?

Yeah, but then the problem is that we are forced to empathize with Syd, though by this show’s definition of rape, Syd raped two people and robbed them of their own bodies to do it. Even worse. Not addressed. Just assumed that men are bad and women good, except for the Mother song. Wait, the show has not really said

Did he.. or did he not.. pull out Babel fish.. out of his freaking ear??

Erasing someone’s memory isn’t rape, but otherwise enjoyed your post.

For all the faults, the frustrations, the dead ends, the unexplained, the unanswered, the erratic character shifts, the underwritten stories, the narrative cheats and the simple time wasting...I’m absolutely going to miss Legion.

I imagine it’ll be a bit divisive, but I liked it as a finale and the series as a whole. It was a breath of fresh air compared to so much else of what’s out there as far as comic book properties go these days. Can’t see that really improving after the Disney merger, but who knows
