Come on now! That’s a terribly reductive and unfair comment; there are also cancers we treat with poison and others we irradiate.

Let the record show that this is the same Senator who single-handedly obstructed the stimulus checks from going out earlier this year for several weeks. Thankfully, he didn’t block the Biden Covid relief bill for a whole year too. But, Wisconsin, please get your sh*t together in 2022 and send this buffoon into…
If he’s so upset about spending money on federal holidays, he should be trying to do away with existing ones. Washington’s Birthday/President’s Day and Columbus Day seem like good places to start (although officially changing Columbus Day into Indigenous Peoples’ Day might be better). Unless, of course, his real…
Before you start healing, you need to make sure to cut out all the cancer, and we’re no where near finished with the knife.
Enough of the questions! They’ve been asked over and over and being used as an excuse not to even consider reparations. It’s real easy who ... all the forms we have to check saying we’re Black; no-brainer.
Voting is this country is a right, not a privilege. Purging votes, not allowing felons to vote, obstacles to voting such as removing voter precincts from BIPOC neighborhoods, voter intimidation, and other things all add up to the suppression of votes and the voices of those that are marginalized. It should not be a…
Purging people from the voter registration rolls is essentially the GOP placing a wager that those people have lives outside of the act of constantly checking to make sure they haven’t been secretly purged from the registration rolls.
It’s the intent behind it. The GQP knows they have no platform that any rational human would go for. So they are doing everything they can to make sure that only certain votes matter. And since Black voters will vote Democrat, better to make sure they can’t vote than actually change.
Yeah, but we get another day off though.
Aww, the trolls are really reaching now.
This is nice, but there are more black that Opal. Police funding has increased, not talk of reparations, even police reform is not even being discussed, black people are still being incarcerated at alarming rates. But, sure have the symbolic victory despite the lives of black people across the nation is not being…
I guess it’s fair, since you just can’t stop shitting on this site.
There is a simple reason why this vote passed overwhelmingly other the fact nobody objects to a day off. With the exception of a few totally racist white men, Republicans in Congress can now claim they are can’t be called racist when confronted with questions as to why they are demonizing CRT, the 1619 project, are…
So to all the wypipo that are against CRT y’all gonna turn down this holiday right? You gonna show how principled you all are and go to work and show that you won’t let CRT divide this great unified nation right?
So you won’t pass anti Lynching bill, continue to try and pass laws making it harder to vote, are looking to end affirmative action via the SCOTUS, won’t enact legislation to punish excessive force used by police and are attacking teaching of history in this country that goes to the heart of why black Americans are…
Good. I hope that more local state-based activists can continue to connect with people there, and prompt them to action, including demonstrations like this-- shame him into voting to support voting rights.. or else face a credible rise of a primary challenger.
The guy didn’t even have the balls to attend the democratic luncheon with the reps from Texas. Just a fucking dickless coward.
And yet if we demand politicians with spine, it’s called a ‘purity test’ and ‘wanting the Republicans to win’...
No, but the leadership of my state clearly supports subverting democratic ideals to further a fascist agenda, given the legislation they just passed.
To paraphrase something going around, I don’t wake up voting for violence but...
