Aside from Pandora Hearts, we got those other 2 games, and we also got the incredible Pandora’s Tower as well. Reggie put those games out, he didn’t prevent them from being published.

Im sorry I dont really understand this. All those games did come out to the west. Xenoblade Chronicles even came out on the 3DS. Nintendo just didnt publish Last Story and Pandora’s Tower in America.

Yea but the success of Xenoblade I think humbled him. Since then, NOA hasn’t really declined a Japanese game localization.

I am usually the first person to attack the “Nintendo gets away with things that others would be pilloried for” perspective, but if Reggie was a Blizzard PR guy he would have literally been pilloried by now.

It’s really not, especially considering Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story DID come out. And when you say “Wii owners” you realize how small of a percentage you’re referring to when you talk about the percentage of Wii owners that were clamoring for those games right?

Reggie didn’t actually get to make those kind of decisions. He was a marketing guy. The real decisions were made in Japan and it was his job to spin them.

But...we did get it. I have my copies on The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii on my shelf by my desk as we speak.

I think you underestimate how much control Nintendo of Japan holds over Nintendo of America. Or really how much control any Japanese company maintains over it’s American arm

15 years of goodwill, ups & downs, growth, and just being a good guy are wiped away because Wii owners didn’t get 3 games? Interesting take.

That game earned its ire. No one asked for it, the dev went out of his way to repeatedly antagonize the existing fanbase, and that edgelord dialogue/behavior was SO. BAD. I don’t care if it gets better later, it’s still a part of the game and was positively insufferable.

While our financial results for 2018 were the best in our history, we didn’t realize our full potential.
